Looks like a pretty cool Name That Tune esque game for the prime time prize of $1,000,000.

It ain't as easy as it looks either. I've stumbled a bit. But really, do they have to keep calling a million "Life-Changing"

I saw part of this, I thought it was an interesting format. Jamie Foxx was a little better than I thought he would be. "But really, do they have to keep calling a million "Life-Changing" " It's a Mark Burnett show. He is known for doing assholish stuff like that.

I like how the second place team leaves with a "life changing" amount for losing
On paper, this looks like the easiest $1,000,000 on the $1,000,000 shows out there. But, if it comes down to it, I bet the $1,000,000 song would be something way out there like 4'33" or the theme to Herman's Hermit.

right but that wasn't a $1,000,000 tune.
what I'm saying if a tune gets to be worth $1,000,000

It would have been, if they had a shot at the million.

UGH! Did they have to give a spoiler at the end of this episode?
(Note: I'm not gonna mention it, not even under a spoiler tag)

It's OK...and I agree -- much harder than you'd think. I gotta think many of the times when the contestants are getting the songs wrong, they know the songs but just hit the wrong button/title in an attempt to get in a millisecond before their opponents. Can't say that I blame them -- Even if you know the song, your mind plays tricks with the clock running, especially when they have some of the first/important lyrics as false titles to screw you up.

According to sources (Variety AND TVGuide), Beat Shazam has been picked up for a second season, a total frickin rarity for a FOX game show...

Beat Shazam has been picked up for a second season This is a good thing. I've been playing along with the last few episodes. I try to not look at the choices, and think of the song on my own. Doesn't hurt that they bring in mystery guests as well...
