That was actually a really good episode. Would seem like a good tribute to both him and his wife who have passed this year.

And that's not all. I found out from David Downs on Facebook that GSN is airing a Monty Hall tribute marathon on Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and will feature episodes from the 1960s through the 1980s.
I'll definitely tune in to the 80s episodes, most likely. I'll try to record them too. I am hoping some of the episodes will be from the long overdue 1985-1986 season.

Their press release says the first episode when it will probably be the pilot. The rest of them will be from the 70s syndicated run and the 1984-85 season, I don't expect any of them to be from 1985-86. Nice of GSN to do this, and nice of CBS to let LMAD air in reruns again, if in fact CBS is the reason Buzzr dropped LMAD from its lineup recently. GSN last aired LMAD in SUmmer 2009, right before CBS announced the new version would replace Guiding LIght that Fall.

Actually, I think it's more a case that GSN's license to air classic LMAD expired in June 2009. That lease started on June 4, 2007, and the norms for a lease of a classic show from Fremantle's library is usually two years, no matter how many episodes are in the lease.
Les Moonves from CBS may have no problem letting GSN and Buzzr airing classic LMAD, unlike with TPIR. I think it's probably a case that Monty Hall made a deal (no pun intended) to allow his episodes to air on GSN and Buzzr. But CBS doesn't allow older TPIR to air on GSN nor Buzzr, and while popular belief states it is because of impacting ratings for the newer episodes, it may be more a case of respecting Bob Barker's wishes since he will not allow any episodes with fur coats, prizes made from animal products, and certain cast members he had issues with - all of which make up the majority of 30+ years of his run. What may become of older TPIR after Bob passes away remains to be seen.
