Okay, I figure I could start this thread. If you want to talk about Snoop's revival of the show, take it here.

The show's twitter handle @jokerswildtbs has been posting promo videos to their account and I honestly am excited for this. Snoop even counts the money like Jack Barry did and I saw Jeannie Mai in one of the vids, who looks to be a co-host. I love her on The Real. This looks like it could be fun.

We have a clip of one of the questions, probably from later on in the game, which seems to show Snoop going a bit deep, but adding a bit of MTV's "Remote Control" into the mix.

I think this series has good potential, unlike the 1990 version. It appears that the show's main game applies the Barry-era format, with the use of trivia questions, though the categories are stylized in the same humorous fashion as in Jeopardy!
However, I prefer the 1980-84 Barry-era more.

Nobody tried to go off the board, so its not known if that is an option. Though the 1990-91 version didn't have the going off the board option in the category maingame format. Another new wrinkle is a three joker spinner can't pick from one of the categories, rather Snoop asks a special question. Also not known how ties at the end of the game will be handled.

can't go off the board can't steal
Stealing as in the old JOker's Wild might give someone a big enough lead that the game would be essentially over with a few spins left to go(there are 14 spins per game), seeing as they're playing to highest score at the end of the 14th spin wins instead of a set amount.

Well, I watched the show.
the copious amounts of Red and Black almost literally make the place seem like the casino you would have in Hell.
The format and game play is surprisingly solid, but I wish to God Snoop would roll back a little on the marijuana jokes. One of the categories was who would Seth Rogan "like to smoke a bowl with". You literally had a 1 in 3 chance of getting it right, with no clue whatsoever as to who he wants to do this with. The game play works because it's essentially the same as the old show, excepting you can't "go off the board" if a category and jokers come up.
The lady who announces is faking it. She isn't very good at what she does.
The final round is not bad. It's a revamp of "Beat the Devil" with the devil on the right slot, and the goal is to get to $10,000. This is the one time I actually don't mind the "420 reference" because it actually works.
All in all, it's a decent remake and maybe Snoop will grow on me as a host.

I'm going to merge this with the thread in the Modern section, because this is pretty much the same thing.

...though the categories are stylized in the same humorous fashion as in Jeopardy! I still think the categories are styled more like MTV's " Remote Control" Also, in the bonus round, I know the Jokers are normally worth $2000, but is there anything that happens for "Joker, Joker! JOKER!!!!", like say an instant win?

I watched The Toker's Wild...um...I mean...The Joker's Wild and I liked it for the most part, definitely better than the mess that was the 1990 version. The only thing I didn't like is that it was a little too heavy on the Snoop. I have nothing against Snoop, but pretty much every category and question was about him in some way. He's the host, we get it. Overall though, I liked it and will watch again.

I saw the premiere earlier tonight and this version is just as good as I was hoping it'd be. I agree, if we're comparing it to the 1990 version, 1990's doesn't have a leg to stand on.

Finally saw the first episode. Not bad. I thought there'd be several more weed references (and yes, I did laugh hard at Smokemon, a play on words of Pokemon). Seemed more like a comedy thing than a game show, almost like Match Game used to be to a sense.
