... which I wouldn't have had much issue with if they hadn't used the self-contained gameplay format. Umm, that was based on the nighttime version of the original Hollywood Squares when NBC aired it in Prime Time in 1968, as well as the original syndicated version, along with its rather loud horn.

If GSN didn't do anything for Gene Wood, they might not do anything for Heatter. When Rod ROddy died they did an "in memory of Rod Roddy" graphic at the beginning and end of a PYL episode. I don't remember if they did something like that for Gene WOod, who didn't get the publicity when he did that Rod did as Rod was up until quite recently before still announcing on TPIR, and his last episode aired one week before his death. THey could, and maybe will do a still "In memory of Merrill Heatter" during one of their Catch 21 airings, as it still airs 11AM-Noon EST MOn-Fri on GSN, but then again, Merrill Heatter's name is shrunk to 1/9 credits most likely during their Catch 21 airings.
