I came across this show yesterday. Apparently it plays a lot like "Hollywood Squares" except without the tic-tac-toe board.
Has anyone actually watched this show? What are your opinions on it?

It's been renewed... Up until the 2020-21 season. It's at a .6 rating right now.
Is it in all markets? Because I've yet to see it on my TV listings.

I am surprised the series got a 3-year renewal, considering the lackluster viewership. I guess the series must be generating ad revenue, and that's what counts.

I caught a glimpse of it this evening. It's an okay show. But that's it. Just okay.

It's got nothing to do with the Lloyd Thaxton-hosted series from the 1960's.
Besides, I don't think most people today even know of THAT series in particular.

It's worth noting that this show, which advertised itself as planning to produce 520 episodes over 4 years (or ~130 per year), has only released 15 new episodes during the 2019-20 season to-date, with no plans this week (the start of February sweeps) to release more. 130 were broadcast last year. We'll see if they release new episodes next week, which is the first full week of sweeps. syndication.extremereach.com/shows/funny-you-should-ask/This is the episode guide. The episode numbers are not helpful; you must look at the PDF file itself under the column Id/ISCI and the specific segment information to determine which episode it really is. This is one reason that the guides cannot be trusted to have accurate info: they are being given wrong info by Entertainment Studios and ExtremeReach.

It airs in my market. It’s pretty bad and not funny. The fact it is still on with a 0.6 rating shows you how fragmented television viewing is these days.
The 60s game with the same name wasn’t good either.

Bob Boden said on Stu's show last night that Funny You Should ask is about to record its first new episodes since the COVID19 pandemic began.

If this page is to be believed, new episodes begin on Monday, October 3. Specifically, the format sheet act segments list the same episode number as the broadcast schedule hence.

I'm legitimately curious how many episodes they've ever made. I know they haven't made new ones in years.

I'm legitimately curious how many episodes they've ever made. I know they haven't made new ones in years. By my count they made 250 in the first sessions and spread them out over the first three broadcast years. Then this year, which is year 6, they are releasing 100 new episodes, including all this month and then 10 consecutive weeks starting mid April.
