I figure that since we've got a lot of talk in the GSN section about Harvey, I would make a thread for this topic. It's a debate thread (it's clearly marked as such), so if you're here to crack jokes... I suggest that you find something else to do with your time.
Thank you in advance.
We all talk about Harvey Feud in here - maybe more than any other game show.
Why is that? It's everywhere: New episodes in syndication. Repeats on GSN. If you think hard enough, you'd probably find it elsewhere on repeat mode. The overkill is too much for people to handle. If a show on GSN lacks viewership, it probably (eventually) leads to Feud taking its spot on the schedule.
Here in CT, we have (at least) one hour of Feud per day. My family used to watch it, but that was a year or so ago. Ever since they've become more comfortable with other networks, there was a quick lack of Feud on. It was a breath of fresh air, thank you very much. I don't know if there's other Feud timeslots around here, but if there were... It's best to bet that it won't be on any of our TVs.
Maybe it's due to the perverted questions that the show will (frequently) ask. There are just too many of them to list, really. You'll know them when you hear them, though. Jokes about private parts. Jokes about strippers.
... Yeah, would you like your child to ask you what the juvenile answers on the board mean?
I don't get why it's a "family" show anymore. Jeopardy and Wheel don't go down the Playboy Channel-like route, and they're doing successful after years of being on TV. It's amazing how sex jokes get more eyes than clean, mature game shows like Trebek and Sajak.
There's more that can be covered in this post, but I'll turn it to you.
Why do you hate Harvey's Feud? Is it due to something I've already covered, or is it for something different?
Thank you in advance.
