As a fan of Catch 21 I have always have wondered why GSN decided to cancel Catch 21 and this question has always been a mystery to me? Was it because Alfonso Ribiero was offered another show at the time or did GSN simply decide to end Catch 21 to make room for other game shows in their lineup? Catch 21 was an great show and I do hope it will get revived in the future by GSN in a new format, What's the story behind Catch 21's cancelation?, Kelsey

Today's Catch 21 episode was the most exciting one yet as today bookstore manager Justin Vasquez won the 25,000 big prize and I was in for a shock when he got his first two cards one after another and managed to win 25,000 with no Power Chips remaining and I was just so happy to see him win. When I have seen Catch 21 a lot and I'm a fan I've noticed that the players sometimes just walk away with only 1,000 and all their Power Chips but sometimes I have noticed they lose sometimes but they have fun, Feel free to discuss today's Catch 21 episode or any other Catch 21 related discussion in this post, Kelsey

On today's Catch-21 episode I saw something that I had never noticed in all my time of watching Catch-21. The contestant Jessica got to use the Freeze option and froze at 17 and I've never seen that happen before and I always thought that contestants were only allowed to use the Freeze option if they got a 19 or 20 when asked by Alfonso Ribiero so this was new to me. Was this a easy strategy to win the game or was that a new rule that began in Catch-21's later seasons?, Kelsey

They could freeze any time they thought the next card would bust them.

Oh so contestants on Catch-21 could freeze on any card after all. That is pretty interesting. Because I always thought that when Alfonso said "You Do Have The Option To Freeze" when they only got a 19 or 20 but now I understand that the contestants could freeze on any card of their liking on Catch-21, Thank You for answering my question Kaos42, Kelsey

They could only freeze if they were the one in control of the cards as a result of buzzing in correctly.
In other words, if the card was passed to them, they could NOT freeze immediately after that, they HAD to play on.
Also, if the player buzzed in with the correct answer, and they felt they were likely to bust on a draw, like the player who got passed to in my previous line, they could freeze instead of seeing the card, protecting their hand, and avoiding giving a possibly excellent card to the others.

As a Catch 21 fan I have always been curious to know what happened to Catch 21's Mikki Padilla who was the dealer on the show because I never heard much news about Mikki Padilla after Catch 21's cancellation. Is Mikki Padilla still active in game shows or is she doing another show at the moment?, Kelsey

She wrote a book last March called "Been there, done that... now doing MORE!"
Her last film was a movie called "Hair N Now" and she played Nikki.
There isn't much about her, tbh.

Mikki Padilla is an actress? That's wonderful because I never knew in all my time of watching Catch 21 that Mikki Padilla was an author too as well because she was so wonderful on Catch 21 interacting with Fonzie and she was so cool dealing the cards and it's no wonder Mikki Padilla was cast as the costar of Catch 21 because she was so nice, Kelsey

Here, you can discuss Catch 21 which airs weekdays at 2pm on GSN. Why doesn't GSN show the Catch 21 Season 1 episodes anymore? I have been dying to see the very first Catch 21 episodes that GSN aired because they are new to me and the only Catch 21 episodes that they show are from the last season and I have never seen Season 1 of Catch 21 before except on Youtube, Kelsey

Today is a very special day in game show and GSN history. Why may you ask? On July 21st Catch 21 made it's debut and has been a game show favorite on GSN since it's debut and now to honor Catch 21's anniversary today I would like to ask everyone here how you discovered Catch 21 and why you liked it. I will be the first to tell my story, I discovered Catch 21 when I discovered that Whammy The All-New Press Your Luck was no longer shown at noon. {Before Catch 21 Whammy The All-New Press Your Luck was my morning show} And so I searched GSN for other shows and then suddenly out of the blue I found Catch 21 and I fell in love with the gameplay and from then on Catch 21 became my new morning routine and it still is every morning. And my father was impressed with the show too and thought it was amazing too. It's a shame that Catch 21 ended because it was a great show and really neat. I sure would like GSN to revive Catch 21 because it's so cool, What's your Catch 21 history?, Kelsey

It wasn't that special. It was just a game show. It didn't really make history. There have been card games in the past. Shows like Millionaire made history back in the day, other classic ones did to, American Bible Challenge did for GSN, but Catch 21, thats a game on GSN.com way before the game show existed it was a cash game. I discovered it just by watching GSN. I've been watching GSN since 2006, some people maybe longer around here. I like the show, but its nothing special to me. Its just a good show.

When I was watching today's Catch-21 episode I saw something that I never noticed before. Whenever a contestant answered a question incorrectly and the next player had a chance to answer the question Alfonso would let the player answer it and earn points. Which I thought was surprising because as I watched Catch 21 many times the players had to buzz in to answer questions. Was this rule changed in Catch-21's later seasons?, Kelsey
