I would love if Pluto did more channels that are shows that don't have their own channel... Like a Hollywood Squares Channel.
In a vault somewhere they found two thousand episodes of the Peter Marshall version. There was also the kids version storybook squares, plus John Davidson 80s version which has not been aired anywhere since the 80s or early 90s and the Tom Bergeron version from the late 90s early 2000s.
Another that might be a cool one to do is a Barry & Enright channel. Tic Tac Dough, Jokers Wild and Bullseye are 3 of their shows many game show fans love and miss and no one licenses them anymore or ever in Bullseyes case.
They had other shows too but those 3 are main ones.
Let's let Pluto know and maybe we can get this a reality!

You'd have to get Sony on board for this. Or at least get them to have options for their Crackle service of some kind. Now's a better time than any to have a channel devoted to something like Jeopardy!.
I think MGM owns classic Hollywood Squares. Sony I think only has say-so over the Bergeron version.

So, this is for something totally different (but still dealing with Squares), but...there isn't really a dedicated Squares thread that I can find aside from MG/HS and this doesn't deal with that. (Essentially, I don't know where else to put this aside from starting a new thread, and I'm not sure if this even warrants its own.)
It's an episode guide issue, pertaining to Davidson Squares. I'm thinking the episode guides have an error in April/May 1988? The April Fools 1988 episode ends with the following celebrities being previewed for next week: Joan Rivers, Jm J. Bullock, Shadoe Stevens, Edie McClurg, Ed McMahon, Barbara Montgomery & Roz Ryan, Charles Nelson Reilly, Wil Shriner, Charlene Tilton.
Only one problem: The guides have that panel listed for May 2-6. (I checked both the Heatter-Quigley and the Game Shows Wikis; their listings are identical.)
I would have to think that would put that listed week at April 4-8, thus moving what are currently listed for April 11-15, April 18-22, and April 25-29 each down a week. (The panel that's listed as following April 4-8 does match, as does the one following April 18-22.)
I realize that this is complicated by more than one of the above weeks not having any episodes currently floating out there, but all things considered the April 4-8/May 2-6 issue is the only thing pointing to something being wrong here.
Anyone able to provide further insight?

The April 1, 1988 Squares airing posted by Ceramic Dalmatian comes from a Summer 1988 rerun broadcast(or SUmmer 1989, when the reruns came from all three seasons, and IIRC most were from the first two seasons) rerun, but it was most likely from Summer 1988. The clue for that it that Davidson HS reruns broadcasts have the list of prize suppliers at the end of the show on the pink background with X's and O's as that airing does.

Well Squares is now owned by Amazon via their recent acquisition of MGM. It would be their call.

I developed a sudden kick for Bergeron's Hollywood Squares over the weekend, especially after learning the news about a looming Pluto TV channel devoted to Hollywood Squares. I did learn that it will start with episodes from the 1998 to 2004 series, and the (remote) possibility of adding older versions down the road (hopefully Davidson's version, as that version hasn't been rebroadcast since USA last aired it in 1993). I remember a few years back that Canada's GameTV aired reruns of Bergeron's version, but according to what I found on YT, I could not find any 1999 episodes with the GameTV watermark. Did GameTV only air no more than the first three months of the Bergeron version, or did they eventually get around to airing the 1999 episodes from the first season?
Whenever the Hollywood Squares Pluto TV channel launches, please send me a link to the stream? The news article did say that the stream will launch this month - assuming they mean launch before July 31.

Indeed, GameTV only had about three months worth of season 1 of H2 Bergeron beginning with the FloJo week. Right around the time Wipeout 1988 was on their schedule

^ Excellent news. I hope somebody could supply a link to the stream so I could watch the episodes.
Now, I wonder if PlutoTV is airing the Bergeron episodes because of being taped at CBS Television City, despite not having aired on CBS as a broadcast network. It makes me wonder if someday we could end up seeing a Pluto channel for Match Game? It's such an iconic show, and given that most or all of the available CBS episodes have aired, it wouldn't surprise me if Pluto may consider launching such channel someday, and maybe a channel devoted to multiple Pyramid series with Dick Clark. It may seem like the game shows held at the now-defunct CBS Television City are likely being put to good use now and in the foreseeable future.
Then again, Pluto is airing classic Family Feud, and that has CBS and ABC episodes. I wonder if there ever was a Pluto channel containing any NBC shows (not restricted to game shows)?
I bet the "More TV Game Shows" Pluto channel would likely cover multiple game shows with shorter runs, such as Press Your Luck, Perry and Eubanks' Card Sharks, Body Language, and any Password series. That channel would sound reminiscent of a secondary version of Buzzr - minus Match Game. When does that Pluto channel launch?

The More TV Game SHows channel hasn't launched, but the Squares channel has launched and they're currently showing the last first-run week of shows from June 2004 with staff members playing.

I got access to the stream, and discovered that they're airing Seasons 5 and 6, but they are shown out of order, and jumping around.
