Last nights 1/20/1984 airing of MGHS was the episode where the X and O lights weren't working on Squares, flashing on and off, and Bauman said something to the effect of "we don't allow flashers on this show", as per Game Show Forum. Jamie Locklin posted it at and at drive.google.com/open?id=1S0C_v0VgzArUCgikIAc_Jt8_XUXIs-Q0

Now for those who are waiting for the scoreless tie in the Match Game portion, that'll rerun tonight, that episode originally aired on January 30, 1984 and that very episode exist on YouTube to see in the meantime, albeit that copy has a partial opening intro.

I was surprised to know that this week would be playing, though one episode is skipped; Fern Fitzgerald, who played on this week, had her appearance on Body Language skipped. Perhaps this bodes well for James B. Sikking on MGHS, too.

Just like with the Bill Cullen week, Johnny Olson filled in for Gene Wood, Wednesday-Friday.
I think for the current week, Wood may very well have been called away for Family Feud. Last Summer, I found the taping ticket for the Crimefighters Hall of Fame Primetime Special, notable for being the last one with Richard Dawson. It was taped on Sunday February 26, and aired Friday May 25.
Also, I think an episode from the original broadcast is from this week.

I think for the current week, Wood may very well have been called away for Family Feud. Feud took priority over any other show Gene was doing so if they needed him for a specific reason he was obligated to listen, so likely you are correct.

Chris Clementson said on ATGS that if Feud taped on the same day as Password Plus(Chris worked on P+ in 1979 and 1980), that they lost Gene Wood and Howard Felsher

If Buzzr goes to the "Salute to the Fifties" week of episodes, Wood would be announcing the May 14-15 episodes but Rich Jeffries announces the May 16-18 episodes, Johnny Olson did announce the June 4 week but Wood announced the June 4-5 episodes but Olson did the rest of that week. Child's Play had a lot of announcers filling-in for Gene if both that and Family Feud taped their episodes on the same day for the same reason.

A few more tape dates for this series, based on newspaper blurbs and articles... 49-53: December 17-18, 1983 144-148: May 5-6, 1984

Based on comments made by Gene in episode 46, at least the first two episodes of the 1/2/84 week were taped on December 10, 1983. Since there were only four episodes that week, I wonder if they tried to squeeze them all into one day.
By the way, I saw some new tape dates appear on the Wiki page in the last month or so. Anyone know where they came from?

That was based on the taping tickets I found for celebrity specials on Family Feud on eBay in Summer 2019. As has already been established, it was the only other game show for Mark Goodson Productions Gene Wood was doing at the time. Because of this, the pattern that Johnny Olson would fill in for Wood, if he was called away to do Family Feud seemed to be established. Most tapings on Family Feud (the original one) called for four days every other week with the exception of a certain period in August; two Syndicated weeks and two ABC weeks. January 8, 1984 - Daytime Dynasties (February 6-10, 1984; ABC Daytime) February 26, 1984 - Crimefighters Hall of Fame (May 25, 1984; ABC Primetime) March 4, 1984 - Battle of the Network Soaps (Circa May 1984; Syndicated) March 18, 1984 - 2nd Annual Saints Vs. Sinners (May 7-11, 1984; ABC Daytime)

Karen Witter is a celebrity panelist on episodes 25-29, and I had to use Google to find out who she was. Not only has Wikipedia told me that she was the March 1982 Playboy playmate of the Month, it also says she was a model on the Syndicated SOTC during the 1985-86 season. I believe that season is currently running at 9 PM weekdays on BUZZR, so I am going to rewatch the next episode to look for Karen.
The fresh batch of SOTC is from the Karen Witter era, and she has been easy to spot. On Curtis Warren's last show, she was on stage for two of the three instant bargains.
Later in her career, Witter was a regular on a Soap Opera, One Life to Live, I think. In her personal life, she married Chuck Lorre, and now goes by Karen Lorre.

Karen also was picked only once for a HS question during her week of MG/HS -- an "honor" shared by Blake Clark and Christie Claridge.

A correction to the MGHS Wiki guide: Angela played for $30,000 with Gloria Loring on the Monday show of week 23, so she won $1,000 in the Audience Match, not $500. I remember this episode vividly from when it first aired. When Gloria revealed the 30, she said that she had given away the second $30,000 ever.
The question was "Leo BLANK." Angela's answer was "Caruso," and Gloria's was "the lion."

Angela's answer was "Caruso," and Gloria's was "the lion." Am I correct in understanding that these details relate to the BUZZR skipped episode # 109?
My notes also indicate a $500 win for this day, but I think this was based on me deciding to allocate the $1,350 that Angela won on #109 as $850 in HS, and $500 in the Super Match, which, coincidentally, is exactly the amounts she won on # 108. This new information changes that to $350 in HS (a reasonable amount for the HS winner to earn), and $1,000 in the Super Match.
pyramidfan, if you remember any other details, like the square GL was sitting in for the H2H match, etc., please share!
