Many families compete on Family Feud on the ABC Daytime version for $5,000. When some families lose to the other family, they come back to play $10,000 on the Syndicated version. Here's an example:
The Jackson family:
The Rajan family:
Put them together and what do you get:
Jackson vs. Rajan from 1983

So, what's the question?

I think he wants to know what other examples were there.
I know the Benson Family (appeared during the second week in July 1976), and the Nogy Family (appeared in or about May 1977) played on the first taped Syndicated episode.

Another example would be the Manna family, which were on the ABC Daytime version, but lost to the Moline family. They came back to play $10,000 richer, and won on October 25, 1982. This came from the Lodi-News Sentinel. news.google.com/newspapers?nid=dXBh7-90p_YC&dat=19821109&printsec=frontpage&hl=en

Thanks so much, Danny. Who did the Manna Family play against in 1982? Also, this confirms that the taping ticket I found on eBay awhile back that said October 25, 1982 was for a Syndicated week of episodes.

Dawson says sometimes when a family loses on one version, that they'll try to use that family on the other version. It carried over to Combs Feud as well. Andrew Gold, singer-songwriter of Thank You for Being a Friend(Golden Girls) fame, appeared on Combs Feud both daytime and nighttime with his family.

I wonder how often it would happen that groups would get on the show who weren’t family, but just groups of friends posing as a family. I’m sure it happened, and I doubt the show really cared.

There were civilian weeks of shows that were not family teams, but mostly in the COmbs era, i.e. college week, NYPD vs. NYFD, Priests v. Rabbis, and a few others.

The Holtrust family, who lost on the 1977-1985 Syndicated version, appeared on the very first episode of the 1988 CBS Daytime version with Ray Combs.

The promos for both Evening Shade and Designing Women gave us the air date of this Family Feud Challenge episode aired on October 19, 1992.

The Hom family appeared on the show three times. The first was in 1978 or 1979 on ABC Daytime, the second was in 1982-83 on the Syndicated version, and they appeared on the CBS Daytime version in 1988, winning the main game and playing the Fast Money round.
Another example would be the Hankel family. They first appeared on the Syndicated version in the 1982-83 season and they lost. But then, they came back in the 1983-84 season, and they won the main game, but they didn’t win $10,000 on the Fast Money round.

The MOy syndie Feud episode is from March or April 1991 given the "beginning April 25th" reference for the KCOP movie lineup, and given the end credits were seen with a backdrop of one of the family doors, this could be from a rerun broadcast from earlier in 1991

Grigor B. just uploaded a 1985 syndicated episode of Family Feud featuring the Tait and the Dlott families on YouTube. Where can I find the original video on YouTube?
