Hello Everyone,
I have some sad news to share with you folks: Dean Stockwell, known for his role on TV as Al on the '80s Sci-Fi show "Quantum Leap," has died at age 85.
Per the Hollywood Reporter, Dean Stockwell died of Natural Causes at his home in Los Angeles, California, where he was survived by wife Joy and 2 grown kids.
Born in Los Angeles on March 5, 1936, Robert Dean Stockwell began his life-long Acting Career as a '40s Child Star, appearing in such Child-Star films as "Anchors Aweigh" starring Gene Kelly & Ol' Blue Eyes & the title role of "The Boy With Green Hair." The younger of 2 boys (including an elder brother, Guy, who died of Diabetes at age 68 in 2002) born to Betty Veronica & Harry Stockwell (the original voice of Prince Charming in Disney's "Snow White"), Dean was one of the RARE Former Child Stars who continued to Act successfully as an Adult.
Besides "Quantum Leap," Dean's other known adult role was in the 1986 David Lynch-directed movie "Blue Velvet." He also appeared, during his "Quantum Leap" days, as a Celebrity Contestant on Alex Trebek's "Jeopardy!"
In Dean's loving memory, I personally would love to see the complete Dean Stockwell Filmography and TVography appear on Blu Ray.
RIP Dean Stockwell.
