Hopefully this new president will bring back classics to GSN if with limited exposure. I'm quite amazed that "Match Game" is still airing to this day.
But worst case scenario, at least I have GameTV for my classics fix.

But worst case scenario, at least I have GameTV for my classics fix. I'm two months late, but I just saw this thread so I feel the need to comment. That's my fault for mostly being a lurker these days lol. Full disclosure though, I don't get GSN on my streaming service, Hulu with Live TV. I do follow the schedule a little bit though and the shows GSN puts on. Let me just say though, no future president is going to bring back the older shows, and frankly, why would they? The current business model has been pretty successful, and cheaper for them, and by that I mean, most of the schedule is GSN originals. Even Steve Harvey has been cut down significantly from what it once was. I wish I had GSN again, because a lot of the originals GSN has produced in recent times look pretty good. I've seen some episodes of America Says on Game Show Central on Pluto TV, and that show's pretty good. John Michael Higgins does a really good job. The only constant on GSN seems to be Match Game, and who knows how long that will continue to last on GSN for. Till the end of eternity would be a stretch.

If GSN decides to open the 9:30pm slot for something else, that slot will go to Tug of Words, there are people who don't have a DVR and are home after the show is off. So Tug of Words is the one show that needs another slot and tell you what though, chances are Steve's tenure of Family Feud will still get 30 slots a week and on weekends a grand total of 50 slots overall but notice GSN seems to be skipping bunches of episodes, when they air one episode of a family's run and the next episode they air is where a family returns for their 4th episode. Are the tapes and DVDs of Steve's tenure of Family Feud (the earlier part of his tenure) getting more sticky and can't get converted?

^ it's what happens when you play a tape 42 dodecillion times I'd like to ask, how many zeros are in a dodecillion? I heard of the terms sextillion and septillion in sixth grade. I know dodecillion is a larger number, but less than a googol (1 followed by 100 zeros).

And I don't even think they use tapes for a storage medium anymore. I think everything is on hard drives now.

I do commend the new GSN president for getting the ball rolling on acquisitions again. 25 Words or Less and Strahan's Pyramid are great additions, and overall there's at least a bit more variety than there was at the height of Harvey-mania. GSN obviously isn't going to go back to what it was in the '90s and early 2000s, or even what it was 10 years ago... but we have Buzzr and various streaming outlets for that now.
