Angela Lansbury, best known to TV audiences as Jessica Fletcher on the hit '80s Crime Drama "Murder, She Wrote," has died at age 96, 5 days shy of her 97th Birthday.
Born in London, England on October 16, 1925, Angela Lansbury was a legendary British actress who came to America as a young lady, eventually becoming a Naturalized U.S. Citizen in 1951, as well as her fraternal twin younger brothers Bruce & Edgar (Bruce having died in 2017 at age 87 after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease and who grew up to be an executive at Paramount Pictures where he worked as the Vice President of Creative Affairs in the '70s).
Married twice, Angie (as her friends in Hollywood called her) became a Widow after her 2nd husband, British actor Peter Shaw (ne Pullen), with whom she had 3 grown children, died in 2003 of Natural Causes at age 84.
Though as far as I know never appearing on stage in "South Pacific," a phrase from a song describe Angela Lansbury best: "There was Nothing Like This Dame."
RIP Angela Lansbury

You didn't mention her only game show appearance, which was on What's My Line? in 1966.

Thanks for beating me to it, Vahan. I had no idea she appeared on any Game Shows, but thank you.
