Steve Anderson: (VO) From Paramount Studios in Hollywood, it's the return of television's most exciting gameā¦ And the contestant who fares the best could drive off in this Ford Bronco...
with $100,000 in cash! And now, here's your host, the star of Wipeout.... GREG PALMER!(I run out on stage to my lectern) Thank you. I thank you, Steve Anderson. Welcome once again to Wipeout, television's most exciting game. I hope you'll be playing along with us at home. You're in for a lot of fun. As far as our three players are concerned, one of them could be driving off in a Bronco, and if they're very skilled, could also win $100,000 in cash. Let's meet our three players. [FRANK] [JAMES] [VAHAN] [ ] [ ] [ ]
Starting with Frank Jones, coming to us from Whynot, North Carolina. Now, that's in the Piedmont Triad area. Tell us about yourself.

well I'm Frank, and I was a piano teacher until the "pandemic". I'm the host of The Challengers which may or not be on the same network

Ohhhhh, so you're hosting an online version of The Challengers. That's interesting.
Well, it also says on my card that you won the WXLV ABC 45 contestant search when you auditioned in Winston-Salem. Anything else you'd like to share?

Alright. Good luck to you.
James Greek is next, our returning champion with a total of $29,780 in cash and prizes. (audience cheers) He's going to Tampa with a whole lot of loot. Now, for those who weren't here yesterday, James is disabled. You have about 18 or 19-grand in cash. What do you do now with all that money?

And I am going to save my Tampa trip for September so I can go to the 90s con down there.

A 90s con, that sounds fantastic. Hey, maybe we can help pay for a few more semesters of tuition. Continued good luck to you.
Next up, Vahan Nisanian, from Glendale, California. Now, what happened was, we did have another player here but they had to duck out of competition -- or was it chicken out? -- and we ran out of alternates, so Paramount called Vahan up and asked him if he'd like to play again. He said yes, obviously. He's a KCAL-TV contestant search winner, where we appear right after a rerun of a Hollywood Squares knockoff called Funny You Should Ask and right before two solid hours of Family Feud.
Why don't you tell the people at home what that contestant search was like, for those who may be interested?

This was unexpected. That's all I can say about playing again. I thought my first time would be my only time. But now, I have lived to play another day.

OK then. I'll describe it. What you have to do is get interviewed. Whoever passes the interview has to fill out a worksheet where you try to circle 11 correct answers on each board. Highest scorers there play a mock game.
So, is everyone ready to play?
