Here's the deal. We had a game going for a while on the GSN boards and it got deleted in a spam purge, which I thought was complete hokum. So I've returned to a place where we can have some fun and we have to restart the game.

Who wants rules?
Rules, rules, rules... what fun would a game be without the rules? quite fun, I imagine, but it wouldn't last too long under total anarchy
1. Five votes will eliminate a host, but I will add one for every three divisions that we advance until we get to 9 votes, then every two divisions after that. It should top out at 15 votes.
2. One vote per day only. I will try to update around 9 PST, if I update early, you're okay to vote again.
3. Any player who has voted correctly 10 or more times will be allowed to "Seek Revenge" ONE time on behalf of a host. You know how this works. You may bring back any of the last six hosts that have been eliminated, but no player or host may seek revenge more than once, and this must be done within three days after elimination. This feature will become null and void when we are down to five hosts.
3a. You MUST vote a minimum of 7 times during the course of the game to be eligible to vote in the final two. "Jumping In" is a no-no and will be met with your vote not counting, to make it fair to the people who play all the way through.
4. You may vote for a host up to seven times, but may not vote someone off by yourself, you also may not vote for a host three days in a row. If a host has "sought revenge", then you may vote up to seven more times for that host, but these rules will still apply.
5. When we hit the Diamond Division, you will have the opportunity to move a host up one division, as done before.
5a. A "Super Move-up" will be called when we hit the Ruby Division. This is for a host that you think REALLY got a raw deal. The first host to reach 10 votes will move up TWO divisions! A host may lose a move-up and still win the Super Move-up. The Super Move-up may be used in conjunction with the regular move-ups, but no host may move above the Diamond Division.
5b. By Popular Demand -- "Ultimate Move Up". Yes, I present to you an opportunity to move someone up THREE entire divisions at a time! Rules are the same as the Super Move-Up.
5c. You love it, you hate it, you know it -- Devolution is in play. This feature will be used in the same way as Super or Ultimate Move Up, except that the first host to reach 10 votes will move DOWN one division. No host in the top three divisions may be devolved, and no host devolved may be moved up except via SMU or UMU.
5d. Double Devolution is in play! Works like Devolution, except twice the dragdown! Rules are the same. Triple Devolution has a similar rule, and we drag down a host 3 divisions for that.
6. The "Sudden Death" option works as follows: Nominate a host for Sudden Death and everyone votes the next day on whether or not s/he is eliminated. Majority rules -- 50-50 tie will always go in favor of the host. No host may face sudden death more than twice, with Sudden Death appeal being used the 2nd time. If a host is brought back, then he or she MUST be voted off the old-fashioned way. Please no more than 3 sudden deaths at a time.
6a. If you think that a host should face Sudden Death again, you can force a Sudden Death appeal. This can only be done if a host has survived Sudden Death. In order for a host to be eliminated via appeal, a 2/3 vote will be required. If the host survives SD appeal, they MUST be voted off the hard way. This feature cannot be used on a host brought back via Seek Revenge!
7. Freeze Frame -- can be used twice per host. Cannot cast a vote or nominate host for Sudden Death. Lasts 3 days. Takes effect when called. NOTE: Attempting to use this on a voteless host will constitute "burning". See below. MAY NOT Be used if a host has not had a vote in the last 5 days, unless that host is in the danger zone.
WARNING: Abuse of this feature, or attempting to "burn" a freeze frame will lead to a double whammy against the player. An automatic penalty of one strike will be awarded and in some cases, a bonus Freeze Frame will be awarded to the maligned host, so you will not get anywhere by attempting to subvert this rule.
8. BRE\-/K DOWN!: Subtracts 4 votes (not less than 0). Can use once -- second time allowable if a host has had revenge sought. Does not affect SD voting. Can be used with or during a FF.
9. Twenty-one: A question will be asked that has a numerical answer once 21 hosts have been eliminated. The winner will be the first person to either guess it correctly or the person who comes closest without going over will have a lot of power. They will be allowed to switch the positions of any two of the first 21 hosts eliminated. If they feel the positions are fine, they may take a free Seek Revenge.
9a. Reverse 21: I will ask a question when there are 21 hosts left with a numerical answer. The person who comes closest may replace one of the last 21 eliminated hosts with a host that is standing. I will allow a seek revenge to be used on a swapped out host.
10. 10-spot. You nominate a host for the 10-spot the same way you nominate a host for Sudden Death. If the majority of people agree, then a host will require 10 votes to be eliminated. you can use 10-spot with any other feature, except you cannot nominate a host for Sudden Death and the 10-spot on the same day. Please no more than 3 10-spot nominations in a day, and all 10-spots will expire when it requires 10 votes to eliminate a host. Also, no more than 10 hosts can be protected at any time by the 10-spot.
11. Cancellation! If you feel a host is being picked on unfairly, then you may use Cancellation as a last resort. The following day, a panel of 3 people -- Neko, Mandy and Shelly will decide if abuse has taken place. If two agree, then Cancellation will take effect and the group may take one of three actions: Automatically validate Sudden Death (appeal still possible), a bonus Freeze Frame or an extra BRE\-/K DOWN! If all three people agree, then True Cancellation will take effect, and three things will happen:
1. Sudden Death will be automatically validated (no appeal)
2. All Freeze Frames and BRE\-/K DOWNs! will count double
3. The host will require 21 votes to be eliminated.
Be careful! Limit 2 per player per game, and if the panel unanimously decides no abuse has taken place, they may opt to award a penalty warning or strike for delay of game! A host may only be nominated once for Cancellation, and only two hosts may be protected by TC at any time and only four in the game may be protected by this awesome defense. This feature may not be used on a host in the top four divisions!
12. LEGAL DISCLAIMER! This game is protected by all laws governing parody. There is no intent to malign, insult or demean, intentionally or unintentionally, anyone involved with game shows, past or present.
13. Please do be respectful of other board members. Do not resort to ad hominem attacks on other board members. A first offense will be greeted with a one-strike penalty. A second offense will warrant a 2-game suspension. You may poke fun at hosts, but do not intentionally malign them. Attacking a host personally (excepting in light-hearted fun) may award a one-strike penalty.
14. CHANGE IN RULE!! A host eliminated in the Copper division will receive 2 penalty points. A host eliminated in the Bronze division will receive 1 penalty point (but not more than 4 points). Any host devolved into said divisions will receive half the number of points they would have if they had been there on their own. A host with 5 or more penalty points will be put in front of the panel to determine if they are eligible to stay in the game or be removed from play. If a person is brought forth to the panel twice, they need a unanimous vote to stay in the game.
If a host finishes third division or higher, 1 penalty point will be subtracted from the host's total if they have any points to lose.
15. CHANGE IN RULE! Punishment Time, Bonus Vote Day, Triple Vote Day, Triple-Double and Triple Threat may be called at any time. Check status updates when one of these appears. One time during the game, I will call for the all-powerful Triple Triple Threat!!. Details to come as they come up.
16. MISCONDUCT! if a player is doing something suspicious but isn't breaking a specific rule of the game, you can call for Misconduct on a player. The next day, a panel of five people and two alternates (Neko, Mandy, Shelly, and the two Nates) will determine if abuse is taking place. The alternates (TPIRRules and Phimat37) will be used if a panelist is nominated or nominates someone. Depending on the number of people who agree, penalties will be assessed. If three out of the five panelists agree on a punishment, it will be enforced. If three of you cannot agree, I will break the tie. You can only use this ONCE per game.
5-0 or 4-1: Minor Misconduct (1/2 a strike), Misconduct (1 strike) or Severe Misconduct (3 strikes)
3-2: Minor Misconduct or Misconduct ONLY.
2-3 or 1-4: No penalty.
0-5: May assess a 1-strike penalty on the nominator for delay of game.
That's it! You all may NOW vote for today!
Vote: J.D. Roth.
