With the news that Shop Til You Drop is now part of the GSN family starting in December I learned that Mark L Walberg also starred in Shop Til You Drop with Pat Finn as a show model and that was his very first starring game show role that made him famous in the game show world. Because when I would watch Shop Til You Drop with my mother as a kid I never noticed Mark L Walberg appeared on there and the only other star I know that was a big star was Dee Bradley Baker on Shop Til You Drop, Did Mark L Walberg get his game show start on Shop Til You Drop, Kelsey

I don't know the answer, but I'll move this to the appropriate board.

Mark L. Walberg was the announcer for the first couple of seasons of Shop Til You Drop. He was later replaced by Dee Bradley Baker. I don't really remember how many actual appearances he had, however.

I'm a Mark L Walberg fan and I think he's so cute and has a lot of talent as a host. It's hard to believe that I first saw him on Shop Til You Drop when I was seven years old with my mom and now that i'm grown up Mark L Walberg is now my crush today. I think that if Shop Til You Drop would still exist on TV today Pat Finn and Mark L Walberg would still be a good comedy team and it's no wonder that later on Pat Finn and Mark L Walberg would host game shows for the California Lottery with Pat Finn on The Big Spin and Mark L Walberg on Make Me A Millionaire and become game show stars once again. I wonder if Pat Finn and Mark L Walberg still remain best friends because of their friendship on Shop Til You Drop?, Thank you for your great answer Manekineko, Kelsey

When my mother and I watched PAX TV sometimes we found a remake of Shop Til You Drop that is a completely different version of Shop Til You Drop and it is now set in a Walmart/Kmart like store and the contestants are now in teams rather than husband/wife teams and the host was a guy by the name JD Roberto and the only thing that's most surprising to me is that they kept the Shop Til You Drop name and named it The All-New Shop Til You Drop. Was this a PAX TV original game show or was it a hit and very popular? I had never known there was three versions of Shop Til You Drop until I read that GSN was gonna add it to the GSN family, What can you tell me about this show?, Kelsey

What can you tell me about this show? I never cared for it. In fact, I never developed any interest in any new game shows during the 1990's, except for Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? (1991) and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? (1999). Just goes to show that after what was a very vivid decade of the 1980s to my taste, the 1990s was just - blah. I find it eerie that there was an 8-year gap between shows I developed an interest in. And even more eerie, the gap is much broader since 1999. This explains why, if GSN does away with shows that originally debuted before 1990, I am cancelling my subscription to GSN soon afterwards.

Sadly, there was a shotty remake of STYD, more focused on Products/Entertainment rather than Stunts.
Hopefully, GSN gets the Finn version with Mark L. and Dee Bradley Baker.

How can you cancel your subscription to a single cable TV and satellite TV programming service other than a premium service like the Home Box Office (HBO) or Showtime?

Since GSN has freshly acquired this and it is in a good time slot (3-4PM CST), what are your opinions on this recent purchase, and the thoughts on what appears to be Season 2 episodes?

I used to watch Shop Til You Drop sometimes with my Mom when we would have mother-daughter time when Dad would be at work and Mom and I would watch The Young And The Restless and after The Young And The Restless was over when noon came Mom and I would sit and eat lunch while Shop Til You Drop was on and we would cheer on the teams and I was really good at the question round of Shop Til You Drop because the questions dealt with malls merchandise and stores which amazed Mom because we love to shop and we would always laugh at the Bonus Round because Mom wanted to play on Shop Til You Drop with Dad as a team because she would've made Dad the one to grab the boxes and win but it always remains one of my memories with my mother watching Shop Til You Drop and having fun, Kelsey

I'll be chiming in with my two cents next week, when it's supposed to have two AM slots.
But I absolutely love this acquisition already.

I'm not really a big fan of this show anymore but with that being said, I am glad that GSN got something that's different for the afternoons and hasn't been seen in a while. I'm also glad the fans have a place to watch reruns.

I've also noticed in yesterday's second airing, there was a gift box left from the bonus round of the previous aired (taped?) episode in the upper portion of the set. I guess a stagehand forgot to grab it and store it backstage.
There's also a contestant that will appear later in the season with the name of Elvis. I'm not kidding.

Is it just me or did I just see the episode that is airing right now on Monday. Was that the first aired episode?
