Oh, boy. How do I want to say this without coming across as a major dick? The staff is aware of Buzzerblog's cryptic tweet regarding syndicated game shows this week. The shows have not aired, and there really shouldn't be any spoilers present for that kind of thing... Except, there are spoilers. We know that a partial leak of the 6/3 Jeopardy episode may be up on YouTube, by multiple people. For the sake of not having Sony coming on our collective rear ends this weekend, please give the staff of the forum a break and do not post anything relating to Monday's episode in this thread (or anywhere else on the forum) until the episode has finished in your area. If the show has run in your town, please put any results in a traditional spoiler tag. We do not want to give out results prematurely, including anything that may be frowned upon by Sony. I deleted a post that included a video, so I'll apologize to aaaa right now, because I'm sure people don't mean to do this kind of thing. Like I said, I just don't want to be a part of the buzzkill if/when videos are taken down. You can talk about Monday's episode on Monday. Thank you.

Honestly, I knew as soon as I read that the episode was leaked what the end result had to be. I can't imagine another reason why. Like, it can't be "here's a leaked episode of him winning some MORE" lol.
I guess it goes to show how time has changed. A newspaper attempted to spoil Ken Jennings' result during the summer of 2004 by reporting that he'd lose at game 75, but Ken denied what happened in an interview with Harry Smith on the CBS Early Show (and acted as cool as a cucumber while doing so) and nothing really seemed to be ruined for the fans.

It is so annoying knowing someone (Chicago Tribune) for example, had to post something related to yesterday's episode of the end of James Holzhauer's reign many hours before it even aired in our area! That totally ruined it for me even though I didn't know how it happened. Watching it with my brother, I had to "play dumb" as if I knew nothing. That was an impressive win for Emma but it's heartbreaking that James couldn't break Ken Jennings's all time record.

I've seen Mondsy episodes uploaded on Sunday night as recently as a few weeks ago(Holzhauer game) and even once or twice seen a Monday game uploaded on Friday. Someone on Dailymotion uploads games even a couple of hours before they air in the US anywhere in some cases.

Amanda, it's OK Sweetie. Sony like to make Sony owned Youtube videos contestants on Hucket Kickers.

I drag Sony regularly for their lack of doing something about their classics in their vault, so now it's only fair for me to congratulate whomever from Sony who worked with Netflix that made it possible to see all of these classic episodes that are now available. I was hoping they'd dig deeper into their archives for stuff from besides this decade, and they did. I can't believe one of the pilots is available and it looks so good.

Jeopardy starts taping Monday 7/22 as Alex T. turns 79 that day. These will be the first games taped after Holzhauer started rewriting the record books. The last week of season 35 airing next week taped April 6th, after Holzhauer's first two games aired but before his record setting games began airing. Johnny Gilbert turned 95 on July 13th.

Today is the 8000th syndicated episode of Trebek J!(the show will number it at 8065 because they numbered 13 weeks of reruns in Summer 1985 as episdoes 196-260, despite their being reruns)
