Also, May 4-15 will feature reruns of the ABC primetime GOAT tournament(half an hour of the hour long shows each day), plus reruns of Ken's first and last episodes in his 2004 original run.

Apparently, they're gonna try something of a "virtual audience", so they don't feel left out admit the current pandemic.

Half-hour editions of the GOAT tournament sound pleasing, but I don't know what the casual Jeopardy fan's going to think about Ken's first and last episodes airing.

Ken is one of the better known players in the show's history, alongside Holzhauer, maybe the best known player at this point

Yesterday was the 16th anniversary of the Ken Jennings original run's first episode, and today is the first anniversary of the James Holzhauer original run's loss episode.

On Mar 10 AND 11, ten episodes were taped without an audience, five of them aired the week of 5/18-5/22 and the others will air this coming week 6/8-6/12. This week coming up is the season finale, and could conceivably Alex's last week of shows.

Jeopardy's going to be running some truly classic episodes starting on the 20th. It remains to be seen all of the specific ones we'll be getting but two are going to be from the first season in 1984. Much kudos to the person at J!/Sony who made the decision to dig deeper in the vaults.

The rest of the week of 7/20-7/24 will consist of a Chuck Forrest original run episode from Oct 1985, a Frank Spangenberg original run episode from Jan 1990, and a 1993 episode from the 10th anniversary tourney(probably the final day two). The latter two never run on GSN. THe week of 7/27 will consist of celeb shows, including a 1992 episode with Regis, and a 2001 episode, among others. The two weeks after that from 8/3-8/14 will be the 2002 Million Dollar Masters tourney. From 8/17-9/11 the reruns are unknown, though it would presumably be the recent College and Teachers tourneys; the new season is tentatively scheduled to bow for J! and WOF on 9/14

Would like to see retro WOF, too.

It is suggested music clearances are a reason why older seasons of WOF don't air in reruns.

What music clearances? I know they used a Kool and the Gang song for Vanna's entrance from 1987 to 1989, but I don't know what else would be so problematic.

It is suggested music clearances are a reason why older seasons of WOF don't air in reruns. I know Merv released the 1983 version of Changing Keys and incidental WOF cues on an album, but this sounds suspect. Classic reruns of this show aired on GSN for years without this kind of problem.
