The actor, best known for his role as Anthony Bouvier on the long-running CBS sitcom Designing Women, has died. Story here. In the game show world, Meshach was a regular panelist on To Tell The Truth in 2000: www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AEzyd1Qm5Q

As someone who watched Ned's Declassified School Survival guide, this hurts. He was one of my favorite characters.

Designing Women has been a favorite of mine since I was a kid; Anthony was one of my favorite characters. And I watched him on Dave's World too. Though it's been ages since I've seen that show. It was nice seeing him on TTTT; really a great panelist. I wish he did more game shows. He fit that show very well. Perfect mix of someone who can have fun but also take the game seriously.

^ you're right. It's something we rarely see. If I was running a game show, I much rather have a C or even a D celeb that was like Meshach was than to have a B celeb who was just there to be there

My mother used to watch Designing Women and it's hard to believe that Meshach Taylor is the second Designing Women cast member that's no longer alive {The first Designing Women cast member that passed away was Dixie Carter} If he were still alive today i'm sure he would've been a cool game show host and I didn't know that he was in the To Tell The Truth revival. Meshach Taylor will be missed by fans of game show fans and TV fans, Kelsey
