There was at least one more episode with Harvey with the original bonus round. He won the car the next day, and Daniel Benfield says that was the last day with the original bonus round format. Sonicfox44 on YouTube, who was posting episodes from GameTV airings, said it (Harvey/Lorraine/Debbie) was, with Tricia/Barry/Rose being the debut of the second endgame format.

Which means two episodes were skipped. IIRC Monty mentioned on today's show only the trip was turned down, and in that format on days two three and four, cash was offered with the trip or fur

Looks like today's episode of Blockbusters was the first show with a revised parting gift format in which the prize for the representative of the studio audience was read at the start of the penultimate segment. Password Plus went through the same way during this time.

Whether that fee plug is kept in each episode is unknown. GSN often edited it out.

It appears I had the airdates wrong for Cullen Blockbusters all along.
Just like Password Plus airing reruns of both May 1981 all-star weeks in August, it appears Blockbusters went the same way, though oddly enough new shows resumed on Friday August 28. I knew the show had two weeks of reruns, but before, I assumed they were in December of that same year.
Cullen mentioned today that it was Columbus Day. However, there's a good chance it didn't air on October 6, which was the day the president of Egypt, Anwar Sadat, was assasinated. If I see a jump in the intended airdates, but not in the episode numbers, it'll prove my point. It would be the reason why Password Plus suddenly got off track again, after being on-track for two months. I can't speak for Card Sharks, which aired its final show on October 23. Ergo, the revised parting gift format started for Cullen Blockbusters on October 9.

How could this be if the production code says 26 on the schedule? I saw some people commenting on the YouTube posts of the SS episodes that these episodes may not have aired on the American syndicated version of SS. After all, the American package skipped a lot of episodes at the beginning. Maybe the episodes seemed too "Canadian?" It's certainly hilarious and ought to be baffling to American viewers when these contestants miss an obvious American question, like thinking that Walter Mondale was Gerald Ford's Vice President.

I don't buy that. Heck, the majority of Americans now probably don't even know who the current Vice President is.

It'd certainly explain Buzzr's numbers being off by 20, which is how many they've skipped thus far. If so, it seems to support that "#C" was the prefix for the Canadian versions of each episode and "#86xxx" was for whatever ones Viacom opted to send Stateside...never mind the continuity issues that'd cause. And then there's Monty's comments about car winners on various episodes with the first endgame format, some of which don't line up with what we've seen...but maybe Buzzr's been skipping episodes all throughout? Still, even if we accept that certain episodes were skipped back during the original US run, how the crap does Buzzr not have the skipped episodes given that GameTV did several cycles through the series a few years ago?

I don't buy that. Heck, the majority of Americans now probably don't even know who the current Vice President is. These weren't average people, these were people who qualified to be on a quiz show. They demonstrated other knowledge on the show. Mondale had just run against Reagan two years before this show was taped. So there's no way that an intelligent person who lived in America would ever think he was the Vice President under a Republican. That would be like someone thinking that Mitt Romney used to be Bill Clinton's Vice President two years after the 2012 election.

Great news! STIRR has released 50 more Family Feud episodes from 1981! Message me if you want the links! Absolutely. You can send me the links. Thanks again! I would love these links if anyone who has them could send them along. I currently have a link to a page on Stirr with 50 episodes of Family Feud that I posted on the "YouTube finds" thread a couple months ago. I am curious to see if these 50 episodes are in addition to those or the same ones.

I was just watching the end of a Split Second episode and I noticed a little gaffe. Someone accidentally paused the tape during the middle of the end credits. I guess it wasn't caught during the converting/encoding process.
I'm glad we got to see the entirety of Pat and Liz's run on Blockbusters, and without annoying graphics on the screen at that. The last time I saw these on television was when GSN was about to changeover in 2004.
