Tutorial requested by tpirrules1972.
Let's say that you know of a premiere air date for a new show (Skin Wars) or a network (Buzzr) and you want to tell the world. How would you do that? Simple! Let's get to the tutorial on how to make calendar entries!
(Because this will take more than three attachments, I will add pictures in later.)
Find the Calendar in the navigation bar. This is between the Search and the list of members. Click on it.
You will be taken to the calendar. Right now, it only has birthdays listed. But you can add a new event. Underneath where it says "Participated" in its own separate button, click on "New Event". It's at the top right hand corner. It's not a real good button, but it's one nonetheless. Click it.
A pop-up will come up. This is where you start to set up the calendar entry. The first two boxes are for the date of the event. Click on the first box and set up when the show will air. The second box should be exactly the same as the first box. Uncheck where it says "all day event".
Now, you can set up where the event will go!
If the show already had a season or two air, you hit the ticky next to "The Modern-Day Era". If this is the first season, hit the ticky next to "Things Yet to Come", and we can always move the calendar entry to its proper location.
You will be taken to something similar to a reply box. The title of the event should be the name of the show, the season that'll air, and the word "premiere". In the body, you should post something about the show. "This is the X season premiere of Y!" Or something along those lines. Try not to add your personal opinion on the show if it's a new show. Try to be neutral about it. Add a link to the press release/site if you can find one.
Then you hit "Create Thread". It will probably be a new thread. Try to keep the calendar entries to a week before the show airs, or else it won't be seen in the calendar if the thread has to be moved (just tried it myself).
I hope you learned something. If you need any help, just let me know.
