Let's not forget Password All-Stars. On second thought, Let's FORGET Password All-Stars! As far as daytime game shows, Bargain Hunters is probably the worst thing ABC ever did.

Mom and Dad finally got to see 500 Questions after I had recommended it to them and my mom was disappointed with it as well and then what Dad told me that it wasn't as wonderful as The Chase and that comment actually made me smile because this was the first time Mom and Dad actually got to watch a game show that I recommended by themselves and seeing Dad get questions right on 500 Questions made me laugh although he got only three right. It's so nice to have parents that are wonderful reviewers of game shows, Kelsey

I finally got to watch all the episodes I had recorded of 500 Questions, and I'm not usually one to jump on a "bandwagon" on modern day game shows as I am this one.
I like the host, Richard Quest is a wonderful host, IMO. I've watched him on CNN, he's technically a "money guy" I think, and somebody discovered he knows stuff about aviation since the missing plane of 2014 and other cases of planes he's on CNN a lot for. CNN goes to him a lot now for aviation and he still has his money show on CNN International I believe "Quest Means Business". Quest certainly has shown on CNN at times he's had a good personality, and in my opinion he really has done a great job for this show.
I don't usually praise a host so much, but I haven't seen a good pick for host of a game show in a good while. Again, I'm sorry for all the over enthusiasm here, it's probably over the top to many.
I think the show is interesting, it's much like a new Jeopardy! show for prime time. The questions are tough, and there are often "clues" in the questions. I also like the variation of categories sometimes ranging from TV, Sports, Movies, etc. I certainly think they have a host that isn't a nerd and acts like a "know it all", like Alex Trebek does sometimes. Quest can be snarky sometimes, but not really a nerd.
The show is fast-pace pretty much, question after question. I'll end it by saying again, I think this is an interesting concept they have here.

Having seen the final episode, I think GSN should try to pick up "500 Questions". Here are some reasons why:
1. Most of the complaints I have heard has been about the pace or the money awarded. A show like GSN could put that into their budget and the host (either Richard or a replacement) could pick up the pace.
2. The show is a tough quizzer, like "Grand Slam", a perennial favorite among GSN followers.
3. This show would appeal to game show fanatics more than casual watchers and would give us back a quizzer like The Chase on GSN.

I just feel that the reason it was at such a slow pace was to prevent big wins. I do think if they were contestants that Brad or Ken could of stayed on longer

I just feel that the reason it was at such a slow pace was to prevent big wins. Given they didn't even get near fulfilling the show's title and the producers were expecting a high turnover of contestants to keep the winning minimal, I'm pretty sure you're right. I do think if they were contestants that Brad or Ken could of stayed on longer Just as a bit of a thing: it's "could have", not "could of".

Is 500 Questions gonna be renewed for a second season? I'm just curious to know, Kelsey

Is 500 Questions gonna be renewed for a second season? I'm just curious to know, Kelsey According to the shows Wikipedia article, the show wasn't officially cancelled but was removed from the website thus ending the show. I knew it wouldn't last. These type of shows don't last, I knew it would probably go by way of Who's Still Standing that NBC cancelled after a December run in 2011. People want to watch stunt shows or shows that don't require knowledge it seems like. There are some exceptions on network TV today, like maybe 5th Grader which was pretty successful during its first run but otherwise there are not many at all. Just my two cents on that.

Not convinced, since it looks like Wipeout is gone, and I doubt that Fear Factor Lite Bullseye is gonna have another season... That's true, but Wipeout lasted a good while. It lasted longer than some other newer shows do. I really don't think the US can keep game shows on any of their major networks anymore. They don't always last long, there are exceptions, but that is why there is always a game show network if people want to watch game shows.

... but that is why there is always a game show network if people want to watch game shows. There's a problem with this statement: Buzzr isn't available to everyone, and if you want to watch GSN... You'll be treated to Steve Harvey getting shoved down your throat. There's no happy medium after that. Which is why I think there needs to be a physical game show somewhere on either free TV or GSN.

It looks like 500 Questions is coming back. I'm sorry about the mistake awhile back folks, I was just reading on Wikipedia that it was taken off ABC's website but this looks official. Along with some other shows getting renewed. I'm happy about 500 Questions. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, I've had too much on my mind and wasn't feeling well last week.
