I remember watching Double Dare on Nickelodeon with my dad and I thought to myself what an awesome game show it was. I also remember the Double Dare Obstacle Course and it was so cool but very challenging as you tried to find many flags to win prizes. The two challenges I do remember from the Double Dare Obstacle Course were Pick It and the one that involved getting inside a hamster wheel and spinning around and around while the other partner grabbed the flag. And this type of bonus round would be unique for kids game shows in the future. I also think that Double Dare really made Marc Summers a big star for Nickelodeon because he would become famous even more later on Nickelodeon with What Would You Do in the 90's. I think that Double Dare really proved that Nickelodeon would become successful adding game shows to it's channel and they continued their success with game shows with Finders Keepers Make The Grade Get The Picture Nick Arcade Legends Of The Hidden Temple and many more. Because I know if a kids channel adds a game show to it's lineup it's destined to be a hit and Double Dare proved it for Nickelodeon and although many game shows for kids are still popular today. Double Dare will always be considered the father of kids game shows for Nickelodeon, Kelsey

In the 90's Marc Summers hosted What Would You Do on Nickelodeon that was a really funny game show that had kids do funny stunts and What Would You Do also was known for the part of the show where a player got sent to the Pie Pod and that was one of the most wonderful parts of What Would You Do. My mom and I used to watch What Would You Do and we would laugh and laugh at some of the stunts but our favorite part of What Would You Do was the part of the show where the contestants would wear Post-It notes on their heads which had stunts on them and the contestants had to choose to do either do the stunt on their cards or go to the Pie Pod which was so funny to watch, Do you remember watching What Would You Do?, Kelsey

I really don't consider this a game show, just an audience participation show, nor do I consider Wild and Crazy Kids a game show.
Good shows but not game shows

In 1993/95 Nickelodeon launched Nick Arcade that was one of my favorite Nickelodeon game shows mainly because it had video games and it tested contestants knowledge of the world of video games while playing a game that had the show's mascot Mikey and it had an amazing bonus round that had the winning contestants play as video game characters while trying to defeat a final boss level for prizes. What really was shocking was that some video games that were played in Nick Arcade's Video Challenge round I actually owned at the time Nick Arcade was huge. Nick Arcade was also known for the wonderful announcer Andrea and the funny and awesome host Phil Moore. It's really a surprise that Nickelodeon should do a remake of Nick Arcade because it was one of the most awesome Nickelodeon game shows of the 90's, Who remembers Nick Arcade?, Kelsey

In 1999 Double Dare returned to Nickelodeon with a whole brand new Double Dare this time named Double Dare 2000 and featured never before seen games and a new version of the famous Double Dare Obstacle Course. Also replacing Marc Summers was a new host named Jason Harris and the announcer was a woman named Tiffany Phillips. It's a surprise that Nickelodeon decided to revive Double Dare as their first game show of 2000 and it's a shame that Double Dare 2000 got canceled because it was such a good remake of the original Double Dare and one of the most underrated game shows of Nickelodeon, Did you ever watch Double Dare 2000?, Kelsey

Yes, but I did not like it due to its host and its "Triple Dare" challenges.

The original Double Dare and Family Double Dare were awesome. DD2000 really wasn't my thing, however.

Both Jason and Tiffany should've laid off of the caffeine or whatever it was they had taken before they filmed the shows. Way too hyper and way too loud, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not the only one who thought this.

Following the success of Double Dare and Finders Keepers Nickelodeon launched Make The Grade that featured kids testing their knowledge of many subjects that they were taught in school and was on Nickelodeon from 1989-1991 and had a host change for it's 1991 final season. Make The Grade was such a awesome game show that I wonder why Nickelodeon has not made any more game shows like Make The Grade but it was considered to be one of Nickelodeon's most underrated game shows of the 80's, Do you remember Make The Grade?

Legends of the Hidden Temple for life. Can't go wrong with Guts and Family Double Dare either. I'd love to see these shows on the Nick schedule again.

Legends of the Hidden Temple for life. Can't go wrong with Guts and Family Double Dare either. I'd love to see these shows on the Nick schedule again. I would too, but they'd probably be relegated to times nobody would care about. And if they were remade... NO. If Double Dare 2000 was bad, I don't think I would appreciate anything that would require their hosts to be wired up on candy and soft drinks.
