TVPMM tweeted this earlier today:
Looks like all that's left are any original broadcasts out on the trading circuit.

No wonder Dream House never got rerun in any form since the original NBC airings. I wonder if other NBC game shows, such as Hit Man, Time Machine, and earlier daytime Wheel of Fortune episodes were also destroyed in the same flood as well?
Oh, well. At least NBC wasn't in the wrong.

I am curious as to whether or not said flood affected any other shows of any kind and when exactly this took place. The 1980's version was a Group W/Don Reid Production, FWIW.
As far as the three shows you mentioned: Hit Man hasn't been rerun because some of the rights for the material obtained for the documentary segments were only cleared for airing one time and not for repeat airings.
The only known for certain lost episodes of WoF were wiped due to the typical production standards of reusing videotapes.
Time Machine was a Grundy show it should still be in existence.

I am curious as to whether or not said flood affected any other shows of any kind and when exactly this took place. The 1980's version was a Group W/Don Reid Production, FWIW. And distributed by Lorimar, just for the sake of completeness. Though why a network game show had a "distributor" was always beyond me; that's generally reserved only for syndie shows. The network itself should have acted as the "distributor" for all shows airing on its affiliate stations. This. Even looking at the half-dozen or so episodes available on YouTube, you can see the "filmstrip" segments using a ton of licensed photos and music tracks, all of which would have to be copyright-cleared again if it were ever to be rerun. Though quite frankly, why anyone would want to see it again quite escapes me. It was a very weak Price is Right ripoff, only substituting years for prices, and it wasn't helped at all by John Davidson's worst-ever hosting job; seriously, if you thought he sucked on Pyramid, he was Dick Bleeping Clark on that show in comparison to Time Machine! The concept of the show wasn't terrible and I think it did do some things right, but honestly, I'd much prefer an out-and-out remake over seeing the original episodes again. And there aren't that many vintage/classic game shows I'd say that about. Of course, neither remakes nor reruns are likely in the foreseeable future, given the current direction of the genre...

Bumping because I just saw the Facebook post on TVPMM's site regarding the Dream House situation. Explains things more.

I'm really curious when GSN wanted to rerun this show. I don't see it happening during the network's early years nor its early 2000s years. I could see this happening during when it was GSN: The Network for Games back in 2007-09 as the network was more interested in airing kitsch-ish programming during that timeframe. A shame that the entire show is wiped now. I wonder if the shows would have been safe if GSN had decided to pick up the show earlier.
