I, as well as the rest of the game show community I would believe, am saddened by Jim Perry's death. I will never forget his wonderful hosting duties on Card Sharks and Sale of the Century.

R.I.P. to a guy who I used to watch every day on either Card Sharks or $ale of the Century.

I'm sad to hear of his death. Jim was one of my favorite hosts. He really knew how to do the suspense element well.

The pioneer of Card Sharks is no longer with us. Of the classic Card Sharks hosts, only Bob Eubanks remains. Sad loss, and nobody knew it was coming. I bet GSN will likely be doing a tribute to Jim Perry at some point in the coming week. Most likely Card Sharks. Buzzr did mention this on their FB page, and even acknowledged his role as host on Definition in Canada, oddly enough. R.I.P. Mr. Perry.

Gutted, and heartbroken.

Well, folks, while we're waiting on a press release from GSN, it looks like there's going to be a tribute to the late Jim Perry on YouTube. Wink Martindale announced on Facebook that he will be uploading five - you guessed it - five rare syndicated episodes of $ale of the Century. There is no certainty if these are pilots from 1984 (which I am leaning towards), or episodes that GSN has yet to air, but no matter what, it will be a genuine treat, and a nice way to honor a gare show legend.

These episodes have been shown before. However, these are from the master tapes, and have production slates. www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3GQ4XfscrA

GSN may have aired these episodes three times since December 2013, but I did save these episodes anyway because of the fact that there are fee plugs in their entirety and production slates as an added bonus. I agree, I really enjoy watching game shows from the original master tapes, and if they are in pretty good quality, they are worthy of keeping.
Still, I am happy that Wink Martindale gave us something to remember Jim Perry for, and I must say, it is a great way to honor a great game show legend who passed away after a long battle with cancer.
Now, we're waiting on a press release from GSN regarding a possible tribute.

Jim Perry has been trending on Facebook pretty much all day. He's the #1 name now. It's touching to see him get a lot of response from overall fans and people who grew up watching Card Sharks and Sale of the Century.

The Game Show Network had a tribute to Jim Perry in a break for their broadcast of the original version of "Card Sharks" this morning.
