Million Dollar Conditions in Game Shows - What If?

One interesting thing about the TPiR Million Dollar Spectaculars in 2008 was the Million Dollar Pricing Game, whose million-dollar-winning conditions varied. That's the inspiration for this thread.

There are several game shows with a million dollar condition already. But, just for fun, what if there were million dollar conditions applied to other game shows? Here's what I might think would be some good conditions:


Blackout: Win the Clue Screen 5 times.

Blockbusters: Win the Gold Run every time, and retire as a champ.

Caesars Challenge: Win at least $10,000 in the maingame, and win the bonus round (if it's the second bonus round, win with at least 5 seconds left).

Catch Phrase: Finish at least one maingame with at least $2,000. In addition, win the bonus round using the "M" square at least 3 times.

Celebrity Name Game: Get at least 8 answers right in either rounds 1 or 2. Win the game with at least $3,500. Win the bonus round with at least 10 seconds remaining (this is automatically met if the first player wins by him/herself).

Classic Concentration: Win the maingame with at least 10 prizes. Then, win the car using no more than 30 seconds (e.g. if you have 40 seconds, finish with at least 10 seconds left).

Click: Amass at least $250 in round 1. Answer at least 10 questions right in round 2. Finally, win the bonus round by getting the first 3 questions right (no wrong answers or passing).

Couch Potatoes: Win the game with at least 700 points. Get the Couch-Up while you are in the lead. Win Channel Roulette by getting the 1,000 point show correct.

Cram: Get all keywords right in round 1, and at least 75% of all the questions/stunts in round 2. In the bonus round, win without a wrong answer, and not touching the floor more than 5 times.

Double Dare (1986): Get a maingame score of at least $800. Win at least 2 Physical Challenges. Then, win the Obstacle Course with at least 10 seconds left.

Family Feud: Retire as 5-time undefeated champs. In the process, provide the #1 answer to maingame surveys at least 10 times. In Fast Money, win at least 3 times, and get all the #1 answers on at least one go.

Finders Keepers: Win the maingame with at least $800. Find the hidden object at least 4 times, or in at least 75% of rooms searched. In the Room-to-Room Romp, win with at least 30 seconds remaining, and find at least one object clue card within 5 seconds of arriving in a room (if it's the first room, find it while the the clock is showing 85 seconds or more).

Fun House: Win all stunts, or all but one stunt. In the grand prix race, get at least 7 of each color token. In the bonus round, get all the tags.

Get the Picture: Win the maingame with at least $700.  Solve any picture in round 1 or 2 with just one square revealed. Win at least 2 Power Surges. Then, win Mega Memory without making a mistake, and with at least 10 seconds left (in season 1) or 5 seconds left (in season 2).

GUTS: Achieve a perfect score (1,925 points), and meet certain conditions based on what games are played that day.

Hit Man: Win the Triple Crown at least 7 times. Of all the winning attempts: At least 2 of those times, win with at least 20 seconds remaining.  Also, fill the 5-circle column at least once.

Jackpot: Solve a jackpot riddle at least 5 times.

The Last Word: Solve all 3 words in both games that you win. Then, win the bonus round with at least 10 seconds left.

Legends of the Hidden Temple: Cross the moat and ring-in first. In the Temple Games, win 2 Pendants. In the temple, grab the artifact with at least 1:30 remaining, and exit the temple with at least 1:00 remaining.

Make the Grade: Win the maingame with at least 13 squares of your color. Then, win the Honors Round without a mistake, and with at least 10 seconds remaining.

Nick Arcade: Amass at least 300 points in the main game. Win at least 2 Video Challenges. Win the Video Zone without having to start a level over, and with at least 15 seconds left (if there is a scrolling level, win with at least 10 seconds left).

Pictionary (1997): Get at least 15 points in the maingame. In the bonus round, get at least $7,000.

Remote Control: Get at least 200 points in the maingame. In Think Real Fast, get at least 7 answers right (if it's the 20-second version, get at least 4 answers right). Win the bonus round with at least 7 seconds left (for the Wheel of Jeopardy, get a perfect 10/10, and for the last season MTV shows, win with at least 15 seconds left).

Scrabble: Using the 12/29/1986 format, win at least one maingame without finding a Stopper (if a Stopper tile was put into the slot, but its letter was not chosen, it still counts). Get money from at least one blue square and at least one pink square. Win the Sprint with a time of less than 20 seconds. Win the Bonus Sprint with more than 5 seconds left. All of these conditions do not have to be met in the same show; they can be met on any episode.

Triple Threat: Win the maingame with at least $2,000 (at least 200 points in the BET version). Also, win the Relay round without making a mistake (meaning, without having to move a song title already on the board).

Wipeout (1988): Don't pick a Wipeout in either round 1 or 2. In the bonus round, win either on the first try, or with at least 40 seconds left.

Wordplay: Get at least 4 definitions right, including the bonus word. Win the maingame with at least $1,500. Win Double Definitions with at least 15 seconds left.


I might come up with more later.  What do you think? Remember, this is just for fun.

I personally quite like this concept. Here's some other ideas:

Family Feud: Retire undefeated and win Fast Money all 5 days (according to Steve Harvey on one episode, there is currently a $25,000 bonus for any team that does this).

BOOM!: Play the perfect game and the $500,000 will be doubled to $1,000,000.

Jeopardy! : Win $50,000 or more in a single match, then, a la The Challengers, have a special $1,000,000 trio of clues at the start of the next episode. If all three clues are answered correctly, the player wins $1,000,000. Also, the first Jeopardy! round will be shortened to accomadate for this.

Celebrity Name Game: The first player must get all ten by themselves, and then the second player must do an extra set of 5.

The Chase: Bank at least $100,000 as a team and then give up three steps at the end of the first half of the Final Chase.

Also, some ideas if Price is Right has future Million Dollar Spectaculars:

Time is Money: Win on the first try.

Pick-a-Pair: Win on the first try and then find the other two pairs (with only one attempt at doing so, of course).

Line-em-Up: Win on the first try and then match the 3 other prices to the smaller items in one attempt. 

Pass the Buck: Win the maximum of $8,000 + the Car

Rat Race: Win all 3 prizes.

5 Price Tags: Win all 4 picks and then find the correct price in the firs pick.

Card Game: Get within $100 of the Car's price without going over.

Bonus Game: Win all 4 items and then correctly choose which item has the Bonus attatched to it.

Hole in One: Order the items from least to most expensive and then win the game in one putt.

Grand Game: Set a new target price once the $10,000 is won, and then you can either keep it or risk it and determine which of the remaining 2 items (with neither and both being options) is under the target to win the million. 

Master Key: Pick both the Master Key and the Car Key.

Take Two: Win the game in one try, and then set a new target price and select both of the items that equal it in one try.

Pocket Change: Buy th Car for 25 cents (I.e. don't make a mistake along the way).

Race Game: Win the game in 10 seconds or less.

Bonkers: Win the game on the first try.

Pathfinder: Win the game without a mistake (this actually happened on one MDS special!)

More or Less: Have a 5th item and after winning the first 4 either keep what you won or risk it all on the final item.

Let 'em Roll: Win all 3 rolls AND win the car on the first roll.

10 Chances: Win all 3 prizes within 5 chances.

It's in the Bag: Win the $16,000/$24,000 and then either keep the money or risk it and match the leftover item with one of 5 new bags to win the Million.

Cliffhangers: Have Hans take no more than 5 steps.

And if Let's Make a Deal ever has a Million Dollar Spectacular:

Go For a Spin: Get all 3 right and then correctly predict which space the Wheel will land on.

Go Big or Go Home: Land on both $750 spaces and then land on Go Big.

Race to the Finish: Win all 3 prizes. 

Smash for Cash: Win the Game without finding either ZONK.

Timeline: Place a 5th item on the timeline (risking the car if you are wrong).

Car Pong: Win the Car and at least $2,000 in cash.

Time is Money: Pick all 0 second clocks.

The Great Escape: AFTER finding the key to the car, find the key to a safe containing the Million within the remaining time.

5 Card Wayne: After picking Wayne, you can keep the car or risk it in hopes of finding the $2,000 card and winning the million.

Spell Me a Car: After winning the car, keep it or risk it to find the one letter that has the million on the other side of it.

Easiest Game Show Ever: Get all 20 statements correct in the beginning of the game. (Odds are 1048575:1)

Be...cause the car and $100,000 just isn't enough? And why is it a "mere" $25,000 when you've already won four times that amount? Make "win Fast Money five times in a row" be worth it -- say, an extra $100,000 (for a grand total of $200,000) and an automatic berth into the next Tournament.

Panic Button: Find all 3 safe buttons on 3 consecutive pushes, then find the one safe button on the 2nd part of the game. In short.....DON'T CLOSE ANY CURTAINS!

In honor of the recently-posted Dream League from ESPN, here's what I think the million dollar conditions would be like.

All of these must be done in the same show:

1. Score at least 500 points.
2. Make at least 2 touchdowns.
3. In any of the sporting events after a touchdown, make the 50-pointer at least once.
4. Finish as champions.
5. Complete the Dream Cycle with at least 10 seconds left (if there are 30 seconds) or at least 15 seconds left (if there are 45 seconds).

And Now My Million Dollar Condition on the Ohio Lottery's Cash Explosion

1. Score at least $30,000 in the Preliminary Round
2. Get the $10K & $25K Bonus Squares in the Main Game
3. Get the $5K & $10K Bonus Squares in the Cash Challenge
4. Match 3 of the Same Player to win the Million.

For the new version of Pyramid, I thought of a $1,000,000 condition. Let's say there's a 5-day limit (like the '80s version).  Then, the following conditions would apply:

First, win the maingame with a score of 21 at least once. This can be done on any episode.

In the Winner's Circle, meet these conditions:
1. Win with at least 15 seconds left.
2. Win at least 3 times.
3. Win both Winner's Circles in the same show.
As before, they can all be done on different episodes.

Or If Pyramid can offer a Top Prize of $1,000,000 it will be played like the $100,000 version on Syndication from 1985-1991, so the winner circle format will remain the same as the 2016 ABC Version but those who has made it to the top of the pyramid in the shortest amount will be eligible to play for a chance at winning $1,000,000 to win the $1,000,000 you must complete the winners circle in the Bonus Round to win that Million it's that simple.

Break The Bank (1985; 2nd Format Only) - In the Bonus Round you must pick the right card that can Break the Bank on the First Card, If the Player can find the card that says "BREAK BANK" on the first pick, they win $1 Million.
