Okay, I just checked out the new show on GSN called WinSanity, which is on Thursdays at 9pm et/8ct ( 2 episodes air back to back), and I found it pretty darn interesting.
Here's how the game works:
Everybody in the audience is wearing a green LED light-up watch on the show. The host,Turk Donald Faison then uses the "Winsanity button" to randomly select a player from the audience to start (the winner's watch stays lit). After the introductions, the shows announcer, Kira Soltanovich, announces the prize up for grabs in the first round (such as $100 Overstock gift card). The contestant then hits the WinSanity button to delect about 50 audience members that can also win the prize as well. Then Kira reveals the category for the first round, and Donald reveals 4 items to sort into order from highest to lowest. I'm putting one of the categories and items in spoilers for you...
Note: as far as the results are concerned, ONLY the number matters, not any other part of the item.
If the contestant gets all 4 items right, then he and the chosen audience members win the prize, if not, the player is out and a new player is chosen to continue the game.
Either way, we move on to round two, where another prize with a higher value (eg $400 worth of groceries) is up for grabs, but to fewer audience members (about 30). This time a new category with three items is revealed, and the player has to sort those items. This time though, he has to insert them into proper place with the answers from the PREVIOUS round! Here's the new items, plus the answers from the last round, hence spoilers...
In round three, bigger prizes is up for grabs (such as a trip to Hawaii in one episode)for the player , and fewer audience members (about 10, I think). Also, there are two items to insert into the list which now has 7 already sorted items. You know the drill...
If the player wins, he and the audience members win the prize and move on, if the player blows it, he's out, and the round 2 prize is lost for the audience members from earlier. (Round 1 prizes are NEVER at risk, if won)
Now for the final round, where the player, along with ONE audience member, can split $10,000...
However, "And there's ALLLLLLWAYS a However in life", if the first contestant has made it THIS far without a mistake, that player, along with the one audience member chosen, are also playing for A NEW CAR!
(Note, if the car is up for grabs, the player has a chance to bail out and keep what's been won. This is important as all the prizes from round 2 and 3 are at risk, even for the audience!)
One last item to be inserted into its proper place in the list. Spoilers below
If the player wins, then that person, along with the chosen audience member win $5000 each. Also, if the contestant playing ended up with all ten items correct from the beginning (referred to as TOTAL WINSANITY), the player the audience member BOTH win a car!
Now here's where it gets REALLY interesting!!!
During the initial airing of the program (as opposed to repeats), eligible home watchers can log in to www.winsanitylive.com/ and play along during the two shows that air that hour. Now I mentioned ELIGIBLE home watchers (check the rules, folks...) because one home player can win what the contestant wins as well!
By the way, here's the final results from earlier...
Any questions, be sure to comment...
