Not sure if anyone's going to watch this show, but... Here you go. Discuss if you are.

I actually watched it just to see how it was. I stuck around for both episodes. I actually liked the show a lot. Hunter March surprised me, as I thought he was gonna suck. He did quite good.

My thoughts on Toddlers and Tiar...I mean Emogenius: I like it. The host is good, the format is good, it's solid all around. Too bad I suck at it.

My thoughts on Toddlers and Tiar...I mean Emogenius: After all of the shit I had to endure in order to have GSN send me a tweet back about that...

Here's a little something for you.
The host, Hunter March, happens to be the grandson of Hal March, who used to host an interesting little game show called:
The $64,000 Question.

Okay, I know he wasn't directly related to either, but I can't help but feel a little sad that Steve March keeps being ommitted.

You had to go to Buzzerblog or IMDb to know that, Kaos? He was advertising that for like 4 weeks on the show.
I actually had never seen the $64,000 Question, I ended up watching the famous episode where Dr. Joyce Brothers won on boxing. I can't imagine it being too hard to have hosted a rigged game show.
I tried and tried to like this show and the format works but the host is kinda annoying. Like with Mike Myers on the Gong Show, he tries too hard to be funny.

Didn't see that in any ads. Only knew of him as a YT star.

I can't imagine it being too hard to have hosted a rigged game show. Depends on whether you knew the show was rigged, I guess, though I don't know whether Hal had been aware.

This is the clip I caught. The Boxing Hall of Fame saved the episode. On the contrary, it's clear this was made by someone pointing a handheld camera at a computer screen (the start of the video has a seek bar at the bottom). Even then, it (unfortunately) doesn't show Joyce winning The $64,000 Question - it shows her successfully reaching the $16,000 mark...though frankly, if she was having stuff thrown at her about referees at $16K, I can't imagine what they threw at her for the last two plateaus.

You didn't keep watching. After she got the $16,000 question correct, the video shows the $64,000 challenge and her being given a check for the full $64,000, it starts at 0:49 of that video.

You didn't keep watching. After she got the $16,000 question correct, the video shows the $64,000 challenge and her being given a check for the full $64,000, I did keep watching, but the thing is that The $64,000 Challenge was a spinoff with its own money ladder, and Joyce's run there was about a year after she won the top prize on The $64,000 Question. Your original comment suggested you'd seen her win the top prize of Question, hence why I asked for a link. ==== Back to the original topic (I apologize for dragging it off-course): while I haven't seen Emogenius, I have seen the promos, and while the format is decent (using emojis in a rebus-esque style) I'm not really endeared to Hunter, who just comes across like pretty much any other host of the past few years or so. (Protip: Just because you're related to a good game show host doesn't automatically mean you'll be a good one yourself - see also Jack Linkletter.)
