CBS spoiled that Punch-a-Bunch will be played this week, and it hasn't been played yet, so it will be played tomorrow, along with the new cash game To The Penny.

TPIR just gave away a prize that is sure to make Golden-Road enter baby rage mode: a "tiny house" that values at over $100k. It was won on Secret X. If I wasn't banned on their site, I'd be able to laugh at their salt.
Edit: Turns out I'm actually able to view their site as a guest. I usually got met with a banned message, but I guess that expired or the site changed hosts or whatever and that made my ban go away. I can't wait to see what they have to say when the topic for today's episode goes up. If I were to guess, it won't be all sunshine and rainbows. Never forget the day where they got angry at a $40k+ trip to Aruba being offered as a prize in Cliffhangers. That salt was glorious. Note that WOF gave a house away earlier this year. I like the token $5,000 for installation. I don't know anything about tiny house installation, but it seems to me that it would cost a lot more than that

well the new game debuted today.
It's very unclimactic for a good player

Today, Hot Seat was played. In the past, that game was always hidden behind a prop that gets raised to the ceiling. Today however, that wasn't the case. The game was right there, not hidden by anything.
It's not that big of a deal because Hot Seat isn't that popular of a game to begin with despite being played for money, but I still found that a bit jarring. Imagine if Plinko got that treatment. It just wouldn't feel right at all.

Thursday night 9-11PM EST 9/30 is a 50th anniversary primetime TPIR special. Since it is a two hour special, they'll probably use the hour long format along with the clips that will take up the rest of the show.

From Drew’s twitter, it will be “lots of clips plus a regular show”. One of the clips as seen in the promo is the Jan 6, 1983 Safe Crackers Gibson appliances blooper

Some notes about the Price footage in the Welcome to the Boomtown music video
In a brief clip the contestant's nametag is seen to be Sandy or Sandi. In two other short clips from the video, she placed a showcase bid of $16,130 (or $16,180? It's hard to make out the last two digits) and won with $?48,?? (podium shot is zoomed in) It's likely from a season 14 episode that Pluto may air when the channel gets to that season, then we may know what the exact date of the episode is from. It is during the first "All that money makes such a succulent sound" lyric

I didn't see the special, but I was kind of amazed to see that Golden Road was the last pricing game on the agenda. I kind of figured that Golden Road was eventually going to be a possible last pricing game someday, especially since games like Lucky Seven and Triple Play were initially designated for the first pricing game slot, and many years later it would be slotted as a sixth pricing game. Sounds like the producers found a way to slot Golden Road for later in the show.
I also agree that Hot Seat is a boring game. It's only a matter of picking higher or lower on five small prizes. Not very exciting of a game, despite offering a top payout of $20,000 in cash. Grand Game is better, even though the top payout's been $10,000 for over 40 years.

There may be an IATSE Strike soon. IATSE stands for International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.
There was one in October 1973 that delayed tapings at CBS TV City, including TPIR.

The '73 Strike was for three weeks from October 29-Thanksgiving 1973, per newspaper archives.

Thank you. I hope this doesn't negatively affect TPIR. We shall see how things turn out.
