I merged a post containing a spoiler into the TPIR thread. Thanks, Mandoli! I promise not to do it again.

Man, again! Don't post any more spoilers. I don't think you're getting it.

not a spoiler really, but Lucky Seven is back to normal. (Drew gives out the $7 and the constant gives back for the wrong numbers)

This week is Dream Car week, where spinning $1 in a bonus spin is worth a Genesis automobile instead of $25K

not a spoiler really, but Lucky Seven is back to normal. (Drew gives out the $7 and the constant gives back for the wrong numbers) It's not a spoiler period. While it's relating to a pricing game, this information doesn't affect game play directly (ie: giving out a win/loss result) and therefore is fine to be posted as such.

This week is Dream Car week, and the show was preempted on the East Coast on a lot of stations up through at least the sixth pricing game due to the Parkland verdict. Saturday is the 15th anniversary of the airing of Drew's first show, and on Monday, TPIR will be commemorating Drew's 15th anniversary.

Just found out today that Magic # is now retired. It makes sense, considering the drastically low number of playings per season in recent years, and with only two playings last season and going on hiatus in hopes of refurbishment or repairing in order for it to return this season, but instead decided to retire the game after 29 years (second-longest pricing game to be retired, behind Poker Game which ran for 30 years).
It's too bad, as I like the tinkling sound effect when the lever is being used.

Back to 72 was another game retired after 15 playings last season. It was a limited time game played similar to Cliff Hangers, after the original copy was read by George, guessing the prices of items in 1972 dollars without losing more than $50

Okay, I have to ask a question regarding GSN airings of classic TPIR with Bob Barker. Does anybody know what periods of episodes were reran on GSN? I know, based on episodes on YT, this is what I know: - I remember someone mentioning that they aired a significant number of episodes from the 1982-83 season.
- I remember, based on comments and YT uploads that they reran a portion of the 1983-84 season (cutting off sometime in February 1984, as nothing from March to June 1984 was reran)
- I also realize a portion of the 1986-87 season was reran. They got through at least February 9, 1987 - I am not sure if they aired anything from March to June 1987 (did they air the "Record-Breaking Show" from March 1987?)
- I know they aired select, scattered episodes from the 1970s, including early half-hour episodes. This might be due to a lot of episodes having fur coats and prizes and products involving animal products which Bob does not approve.
- I know they likely aired at least a portion of the 1991-92 season, as I did see the January 13, 1992 episode with Danielle's record-breaking win on YT and did have the GSN watermark.
Are there any seasons I did not mention?

Scattered half hour episodes from seasons 1 to 3, scattered hour long episodes from seasons 4 to 6 and seasons 8 to 10, almost every episode from 9/13/82 to 2/9/84, season 15 from the season premiere up to 2/12/87 and season 20 from the season premiere up to 4/23/92. In a special marathon on Labor Day 1997, all six of the 86 specials were rerun. Barker Era is now at the end of April 1985 in a period not rerun by GSN except for a few select season 13 and 14 episodes in Win TV format

Three more I could find: the 16th season finale, the Xmas Day 1990 episode and a 1978 nighttime episode: groups.google.com/g/alt.tv.game-shows/c/MQhEmcMgCsE/m/5_uIgY_KkeYJ In early promos for GSN and in a sales presentation video, clips from season 21 were featured, one of them was the episode with Edrie. That season wasn’t rerun in the rotation

Just found out now that Drew Carey has COVID (has been since Tuesday) and he is doing fine (thanks to his vaccines and two boosters). As a result, recordings are postponed supposedly until he recovers.
But, if recordings resume later this month, it would be just before the start of Christmas break. I expect there may be a week or two of reruns at some point early in the new year.
