Very Very Best of the 70’s top 10 ranking of classic game shows from the 1970’s (an AXS TV show that airs on the channel). If this was an 80’s list, I’d replace the 70’s versions with the 80’s revivals of All New Let’s Make a Deal, Hollywood Squares, $100,000 Pyramid and Family Feud with Scrabble, Sale of the Century, Press Your Luck, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune and TPIR
10: Let’s Make a Deal (70’s synd) 9: The Dating Game 8: The Gong Show 7: Name That Tune (70’s, Kennedy) 6: Match Game (7x, reruns on GameTV) 5: $10,000 Pyramid 4: The Newlywed Game (70’s synd) 3: Family Feud (Dawson) 2: Hollywood Squares (70’s synd) 1: The (New) Price is Right (Barker)

It was the first 13 weeks when season 1 was added last September, then GameTV went back to the second half of season 3 (Feb-Sep 1988). Latest season 1 episode was Dec 6, 1985

Latest season 1 episode was Dec 6, 1985 Hey we'll soon be reaching the point where the weekly recaps halted at Yahoo! Groups(episodes #71-#75 was where Yahoo! Groups halted at).

#2081? Second season, which GSN didn't play? Sounds like it. I think GameTV has already aired some of the second season of BUmper Stumpers, but never any from the third season.

Not sure when new episodes of TTD start, but judging from the different way they're listed on the schedule, it looks like new $100K Pyramid starts on Monday 9/13.

TTD does appear to be new today. Looks like they picked up where they left off in the Caldwell season.

TTD does appear to be new today. Looks like they picked up where they left off in the Caldwell season. That is very good news. I believe it to be true since the initial batch of 90 episodes never had the Sony Pictures Television logo after the closing credits, but yesterday's episode did. Plus the copyright date displays as 1986. The mini-commercials used as fee plugs were kept intact. I never got to see "The $100,000 Pyramid" yesterday, but were they fresh episodes as well? I find that there happens to be a trend with regard to GameTV acquiring fresh episodes of classic game shows. Around the beginning of March, we usually see fresh content in terms of Fremantle classics, while in September, we usually see fresh content in terms of Sony classics. Though rare exceptions apply, like was the case in March 2020 when GameTV launched "Tic Tac Dough" - a Sony show - replacing "Press Your Luck", and GameTV also acquired about 30-40 episodes of "Love Connection" from the 1983-84 season, and that definitely wasn't owned by Fremantle. Of course, when GameTV acquired the 2016-17 seasons of TPIR, LMAD, and Steve Harvey's "Family Feud", in addition to "Family Feud Canada", they also acquired about 85 episodes of "Super Password" covering July through October 1985, and that acquisition took place in January. Gosh, I hope GameTV gets around to airing the "Tic Tac Dough" episodes that GSN never aired in the first place. We're probably over a month away from finding out. The very small six-week run of "Press Your Luck" continues on with no end in sight.

They skipped at least one episode of TTD and have started Don Benn's run.
Pyramid indeed started where they left off with episode 66 from December 1985.

I bet they will enter 1986 for Pyramid next week, considering that many syndicated game show seasons do not have Christmas week.
I wonder if the skipped Tic Tac Dough episodes involved Jacqueline's run?
Or maybe the episode(s) GameTV skipped were the same ones skipped by GSN roughly 20 years ago?

Based on the 1986 Caldwell shows that GSN aired as well as the three shows that GAME-TV aired from 1986, here is an episode guide of the coming Tic Tac Dough shows on GAME-TV.
Don Benn ($15350) vs. Tracy Don Benn (29850) vs. Madeline Don Benn (35250) vs. Craig Don Benn (41150) vs. John - Don is defeated by his 9th opponent on this show - John is then defeated by Jacqueline Jacqueline ($900) vs. Dragon - GAME-TV aired this out of order previously Jacqueline (2200) vs. Michelle - The 2nd of 3 shows that GAME-TV aired out of order Michelle (5500) vs. Fred - The third show that GAME-TV aired out of order Fred vs. Clare Clare (9550) vs. ? Clare (14250) vs. Chandra Chandra (6650) vs. Dan Fran (1300) vs. Jay Jay (7050) vs. Debbi Jay (16400) vs. Robin Robin (2000) vs. Dragon Robin (7450) vs. Laurie Laurie (6450) vs. Von Von (1100) vs. Pat Von (4800) vs. Dragon Blue vs. Ed - this was the last episode from the Caldwell era that GSN aired Ed vs. Karen

Thanks for this list, we now know the order of the three 1986 episodes GameTV began with before it went to episodes 4 to 90 and now continuing where it left off with Tic Tac Dough. For Melanie vs Rob and Clare vs ? did GSN air them? After Blue vs Ed is seen would be episodes never rerun before. From March 5 to May 23, 1986 that is 58 episodes remaining
Another brief GameTV update, Pyramid gets an extra episode and Love Connection (new episodes?) returns on September 27, taking over Beat Shazam’s spot at 4 pm eastern

Don vs. Tracy was skipped. Don vs. Madeline aired Monday and Don vs. Craig today.
For some reason, $100K Pyramid jumped back a month today. Not sure what was up with that.
