Just noticed that Decades TV is airing a marathon of lost classics...I just missed a very old airing of Beat the Clock, and now they are showing You Bet Your Life with Groucho Marx.
I made a random post on the BUZZR thread, but felt this deserved its own thread as DecadesTV appears to be doing this all month long. Each afternoon and every weekend long.
I recorded 5 hours of You Bet Your Life overnight and it looks like more is on the way Monday afternoon (might be repeats).

Oh, good. Another channel I don't get. My affiliates suck.

Oh, good. Another channel I don't get. My affiliates suck. Hey, mine do too! Team Expat doesn't even carry the channel. (And Buzzr and GSN don't work, and Game TV, and Yes TV have different streams going on too).

I assume this the John Charles Daly version and not syndicated. Am I right?

I'm making sure to set my TiVo for YBYL now for tomorrow that I read this. I remember seeing something on their Facebook page about lost classics but I had no idea they'd be running game shows. I love this channel.
Beat the Clock is airing on 10/19 at 2:30 PM eastern time. It lists Gloria DeHaven as a guest. If the episode listing is correct, this is an episode from the Jack Narz/Gene Wood era.

I just added the last two. For fun, I also added two episodes each of You Asked For It and People Are Funny that were recorded at the end of my recording block.

A Narz/Wood-era BTC episode? Wasn't expecting that, I figured it would be all public domain stuff, which would mean B&W era. Did they actually acquire some shows?

I could be mistaken, but I can't think of a time where celebrities appeared as guests during the Collyer era. Not in all the episodes GSN showed and the other two or three known to be available in the trading circuit (one of which that comes to mind is that 1960's daytime show in the circuit). And after double checking an episode guide, I know she wasn't on the Monty Hall version... and if she were, they'd list four celebrities in total since that's how many would do that show; and not just one like only one celebrity would appear on the Narz/Wood era of the show.
I just checked a black and white game show public domain DVD set that I bought a while back that haven't had a chance to watch in full yet and it has two episodes of Collyer BtC. Both are regular episodes: one from the Hazel-Bishop sponsored era; the second is an older Sylvania sponsored one. I looked at some other Beat the Clock public domain DVD listings and they're all seemingly from the early Collyer period.
Meanwhile, the TiVo guide still lists DeHaven as a guest. It is sandwiched between People are Funny and Truth or Consequences.

Yoooooo. Hopefully someone is gonna be recording that!! I hope so too I neglected to set my timer for the 2:30 airing today. Will anyone else be recording it? I guess I could swing home in the next hour and set it, but I hope I don't have to.

I just checked it and it's an episode from 1953. My guide had the wrong information (and still has the same incorrect listing). Sorry if I got people's hopes up.

I was able to sneak out of work and set it to record, so if anyone wants it, I'll have it.
