Hi Folks, I am putting this thread together because Fremantle is going off the cliff at the current moment in blocking many of the videos myself and other wonderful people have dedicated our time, hard work, and commitment toward. Gary, from the What's my Line Channel, is going through this same trouble. We are in great need of some help in fighting for the preservation of these landmark shows otherwise our channels are most likely going to be closed. It's very sad! -MGP

It really is amazing that it took this long for Fremantle to finally crack down on YouTube videos. Are they doing the same with The Price is Right too, even the older episodes?

Looks like everybody is getting effected by this. I'm talking to Gary now from the WML Channel. He's got a bunch of episodes now blocked. It's really sad. All this hard work that's been done is going to be for nothing!

I think this is the episode Buzzr's gonna show for March 8.
Still, it's stupid. Fremantle shouldn't be doing any blocking. Buzzr can exist without all this blocking.

The episodes that have been blocked are:
Match Game Synd. Episode 347 with Betty White Hosting Match Game PM Episode 191 posting in tribute to Bill Daily
That's all I see so far that have been impacted.

I am thinking that uploading the full run of a game show is likely to signal a red flag to Fremantle. Gary did the same thing back in 2015, and Fremantle ended up on the warpath back then, and they strike again. The episodes that have been blocked are: Match Game Synd. Episode 347 with Betty White Hosting Match Game PM Episode 191 posting in tribute to Bill Daily That's all I see so far that have been impacted. And more will likely be impacted. It's only the beginning.

I moved this thread, because it doesn't have anything to do with Buzzr. It's Fremantle. It's general discussion.

Michael Pannoni and VHSGoodiesWA3 (both of whom I'm subbed to) post vids that are forbidden to archive.org. It used to be Google Plus, but that's going bye-bye soon.

It's nearly 24 hours since this thread was created, and so far, many videos are untouched.

Nick, the December 27 and 28, 1984 Body Language episodes have been blocked also but don't worry, you and Gary from the WML channel are still in very good shape. They only blocked the ones that'll eventually air on March 8, they'll eventually get reuploaded in due time. So needless to say, we can end this thread right here. I've seen the Supermarket Sweep episodes getting blocked from YouTube but they only blocked the ones that are Amazon-exclusive and some from the Buzzr airings, not all. Just because the videos get blocked doesn't mean that their channel is at risk.

Let's just hope that there aren't anymore blocks on the episodes minus the marathon!

THey haven't blocked any of the CLassic COncentration episodes they've shown from Youtube, and a fair amount of the first 70 or so episodes of the run were on Youtube long before Buzzr started airing CC.

Looking back at the June 2015 blocking event, the impacted episodes were episodes that were soon to air on Buzzr at the time. The earliest weeks of Press Your Luck were impacted at first, but were unblocked after they were initially aired on Buzzr. The later episodes (including the late-1985 and 1986 episodes that were airing on GSN at the time) were not affected. Fremantle probably did this in order to prevent spoilers for episodes soon to air on Buzzr, it seems.

FreeMantle sadly just wants to protect their own ego and really it has to irk game show fans. That just want to watch. No harm nor foul in watching. But not in Free Mantle's point of view.

One of my videos, Arlene hosting TPIR, was blocked as well. But I'm over it honestly. Buzzr’s will look better anyway, will have the original commercials, and I at least give them credit for actually trying and doing something with their game shows compared to *another* company that owns them; and at least they don't try to get other people's entire accounts banned.
The only real criticism about this I’ll say at this point is that Fremantle didn’t do themselves any favors by publicly saying through at least one article that they were okay with people uploading their stuff. That was the only real issue I had before. I know this was before Buzzr was a thing but eh, it is what it is at this point. I’m not stressing it anymore.
