I think Buzzr is trying to fill up whatever empty spots are on the schedule with random episodes. That's the only reason why they're doing this.

They're Syndicated. The CBS episode count doesn't have a 1-6 as the first digit.

It makes me wonder if GameTV in Canada will do their own tribute to Bob Barker too? Also, regarding Eubanks' Card Sharks, it turns out that in recent weeks, there were quite a lot of episodes added to Buzzr this time around. In the past, they would only add about six weeks' worth of episodes, but this time they added about three months' worth - covering the period of February through May 1987. It makes me wonder if, next time we get fresh Eubanks' Card Sharks episodes, we may continue into July or August 1987? If Buzzr continues this "three months of episodes" trend, we may end up getting to the 1988 episodes much faster, and maybe get to the finale well before the end of the decade? I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but Classic Concentration adds a massive amount of fresh episodes at a time, and it may seem like they are adding fresh episodes more frequently. I guess my complaints worked. The remaining Syndicated episodes of $ale of the Century were last rerun on USA Network in 1994. I recall when episodes #572 of Press Your Luck and #1324 of The New $25,000 Pyramid were first rerun on GSN in 2014. The coloring looked absolutely awful. I have no idea if GSN fixed them. No doubt when Buzzr shows the former (they've never shown Pyramid), it will be color-corrected. The coloring problem also occurred on Eubanks Card Sharks as well. It was a few episodes from November 1986 that were likely impacted (I know one of them had the contestant Nikki). I am thinking the coloring issue was likely a very short-lived problem on all of the classics - possibly including Match Game too - on GSN in Fall 2014, and this implies that the problem is more on GSN's side and has nothing to do with the video quality. |

I made a post recently this is relevant to this comment. The first four batches of Classic Concentration dropped were 60, 100, 60, and 130 episodes each, in the fall of 2018, winter of 2019, fall of 2019, and winter/spring of 2020, respectively. The sixth batch that dropped in spring 2021 was also 100 episodes, and the seventh batch in late summer/early fall 2021 was 77 episodes.
The fifth batch, and all batches starting with the eighth batch been usually 30 or 40 episodes each.
The current pace of new Classic Concentration episodes is 30 or 40 new episodes over a three or four week period, then eight to nine weeks off, then 30 or 40 more new episodes, etc. |

I noticed similar batches this year for TRUTH. 40 fresh eps back in MAY and another 40 this past SEPTEMBER. For a show where every episode has new characters, new stories and lots of new conversation, it is a real shame it only comes out in drips and drabs.

This would apply to the syndicated What’s My Line too. Way more episodes would be appreciated. Only most of the 1972-73 season (about 150) and some other episodes with both Wally and Larry were rerun since Buzzr added that and the Moore version of To Tell the Truth back in the fall of 2018

Can't wait for the early Body Language episodes, where it featured 2 GOLD STAR episodes that week, one of which featured a male contestant who was previously on Password Plus after it underwent a format change.
OK, this is something that Adam Nedeff was working on, the player partners part of this week, let's fill that in:

There was a time that the Tic Tac Thom marathon skipped the 7/4/84 Body Language episode and wasn't pushed back to the next weekend day, much like the September 27, 1978 Card Sharks episode that was scheduled to rerun on Christmas Day 2001, only to rerun the 12 Games of Christmas marathon and since then the 9/27/78 Card Sharks episode was never put back in the rerun rotation, eventually, Buzzr AND GameTV skipped it too.

Anything with a 1-9 as the first digit (5 was skipped in the labeling process by Goodson-Todman for some reason) is a 1977-1985 Syndicated episode. #7001-#7160 is Season 6 (1982-1983). Hope there aren't any unexpected changes, like when we thought there was gonna be a 1977 ABC episode.

And for anybody following Press Your Luck and the Syndicated $ale of the Century like I am, don't worry, both will return with #577 and #S-220 respectively. This event was planned months in advance. When Bob-Tober happened just now, and Kroeger TNG was fresh, they preempted a week with Bob shows, but after that, they picked up right back where Kroeger left off.
I have no idea how long the Betty White Christmas will run for this year. It could run for two or three weeks. Or maybe 12 days, like the song.
