And it happened again last night. 79-19-2 and 79-19-3 aired instead of the corresponding episodes from 1980. 79-19-3 had been a skip though, so that's something I guess.
This makes four 80 episodes that are actually 79 episodes.
And more to my theory that they converted these again: the original 192 had bad tape blurs (most notable when Gene enters at the top of the show), but the one that aired last night doesn't have this. So, we at least we got a missing episode and a better version of the other?
Makes you wonder if they’ll accidentally show one of Jimmie Walker’s skipped weeks? Remember they accidentally showed some Tattletales episodes with Bob Newhart last year, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it happened with Match Game. Coming to think of it, if we’re lucky, they might accidentally play #79-21-4 (#104), #79-22-4 (#109), #79-23-1 (#111), or #79-24-4 (#119) if they make the same mistake as they did here. We are getting close to the second season’s 21st-24th weeks, so who knows?

It will be interesting to see how much longer Price Is Right will keep going with fresh episodes on Buzzr.

It will be interesting to see how much longer Price Is Right will keep going with fresh episodes on Buzzr. THey're scheduled to run the entire 1984-85 season, save for whatever episodes were skipped by Pluto. We'll see if Buzzr actually does that over the next couple of months.

BUZZR "Fresh" Schedule for Week of 7/15/2024 (EST) 5-8 PM - Match Game (SYN) - 80-17-4 to 80-23-4 (#259-289) What is the current generally accepted conversion of MG Syndicated episodes from Production # to BUZZR episode #'s? In other words, how did you determine that these are episodes # 259-289? I know there was some initial confusion between the two numbering schemes when BUZZR first ran MG Syndicated, which lead to unfounded speculation that skipped episodes might be re-appearing.
As far as I recall, I thought it was accepted that BUZZR's four digit numbers broke down as; the first three digits were the production week (and could range from 001 to 105), and the last digit was the show number within the week (and could range from 1 to 5).
For example, "Match Game 80_0184" would be the fourth show of the 18th week of Production, and equates to Production episode # 89. If I follow this scheme, that would mean that "Match Game 80_0214" at 5:30 PM ET today is the fourth show of the 21st week, or skipped episode # 104.
Since I have not seen anyone excitedly posting that a skipped episode is finally re-surfacing, I suspect that BUZZR has deviated from this scheme.

For the daily Syndicated version, I always go by how they were officially numbered on the slates.

For the daily Syndicated version, I always go by how they were officially numbered on the slates. Buzzr included a few slates from the syndicated series in this Match Game slates compilation video: Interestingly enough, they also feature slates from episodes they skip (#580 and #585 are two episodes I know Buzzr skip). I’m pretty sure Buzzr uses the same numbering system the slates used for the daytime syndicated episodes. I personally prefer the way Match Game Productions numbers them, it’s a lot easier to remember!

80_21_4 is actually episode #279. I believe the “80” represents that it‘s the second season of the daytime syndicated series. I assume “79” was used on all first season episodes, while season three would have used “81”.

Thank you so much. That is great news. 191 episodes in a row by my count excluding 5412D, 5512D, 5523D and 5643D. There were 195 produced for season 13

Episode 279 was in fact the fourth episode of the 21st week of Season 2. In my notes, I have reconverted the "BUZZR #'s" for all of the MG syndicated episodes to account for the seasons, using an anticipated value of "81" for season three ( and known values of "79" & "80" for seasons 1 and 2, respectively).

There were 195 produced for season 13 I hope trailblazer91 has access to #5412D from the June 12, 1984 VTR date. So rewindium, what are the VTR dates for these episodes according to WinTV: November 1, 1991 November 21, 1991(the episode that appeared in the 25th Anniversary Labor Day marathon promo) January 13, 1992(where the all-time winnings record is set) January 14, 1992 September 10, 1986 September 11, 1986(the debut of Add 'Em Up and Florence Halop was still living at the time of these 3 episodes) September 12, 1986 December 10, 1986 January 14, 1987 May 11, 1977 April 3, 1992 April 7, 1992 April 20, 1992 March 27, 1992(the debut of Buy Or Sell and *3* contestants ended up in the First Four Breakfast Club, could possibly be the only time Buy Or Sell made an appearance in a GSN rerun)

VTR dates are May 1976 for 1982D and October 1991 for 8165D and 8194D. May 28, 1986 for 6173D then June 9, 1986 for both 6174D and 6175D. November 1986 for 6303D and 6333D. March 1977 for 2373D. March 10, 1992 for 8375D and later in that same month for 8382D and 8401D
Ceramic Dalmatian has recently posted some Win TV recordings with the trivia section cropped out so that the VTR date can only be approximated but the episode is presented in full screen with edits. A note for 2373D when it was first rerun on GSN in 1997, the intro and first item up for bids was plagued with technical difficulties but it was fixed when rerun again on Win TV the following year

The Card Sharks clip is not from a Young Players' week. $ale is from August 1988 End of SUmmer bash. Feud is from Daytime Combs era. The PYL week which was called Back to School week wasn't seen in the video.

Classic Concentration had two College weeks in 1989 that we've already seen that may or may not be included in it.
