Maybe it came at the last minute? The new PYL started taping on May 20, with the new CS commencing in April.

Why can’t BUZZR just show 371 like it originally planned to?

The Jim Hess episode may have been originally intended to air, until it was realized that former contestants from the 1980s series are likely appearing on the new version, like is the case with TPIR in this day and age.

I wonder if each episode of the new version will feature a former contestant from the 1980s version, and Buzzr may end up airing a fresh episode of the 1980s version on the Saturday prior to the ABC version's broadcast?

Also, aren't Cookie's episodes part of a marathon on Buzzr along with Ep. 639 (from March 1986)?

Also, aaaa, your post about James Larson's death yesterday occurred on the two-year anniversary of his death.

The beauty of having the full credits intact on Buzzr, as opposed to GSN: Rod referred to himself as "Your Beach Buddy" in the closing spiel (a reference to the Water Bike Cookie won). Pretty amusing line that put a smile on my face.

The Paul Lynde episode of IGAS '72 was the first one taped. I wish it'd have a regular spot on the schedule, but I don't think it'll happen due to the small number of episodes made, which was 39.
