Brendan Richards went to alt.tv.game-shows to post that he died. I told him to come to this board, as this board takes nev members when others like Game Show Forum don't take new members. He just posted on his page 21 hours ago with the 2/2/1988 Classic Concentration episode.

Oh no, that's a shocker, one YouTuber dies, the only other YouTuber I can think of is Mitt Dawson. I'm surprised he hasn't been in any message boards then and now all this time. Well, somebody's gotta step up and take over Mr. Downs' entire legacy and pick up where he left off.

For those who don't know, Mitt Dawson was a production assistant or some such at Reg Grundy Productions working on Sale, Scrabble, and the other shorter-lived shows they did in the US

I was very sad to find this out. I had no idea he was that sick and I enjoyed chatting with him whenever I did and I got a good trade from him once. Watched Wheel of Fortune tonight with a heavy heart while thinking of him and his loved ones.

David Downs (aka Gamelover1949) used to post episodes of Family Feud from the 1994-95 season. And so did Catnap1972. I wonder how Catnap1972 is doing?

catnap1972 is pretty much retired. The reason for his resignation is likely due to the influx of YouTube spammers who stole others' game show episodes and uploaded them on their channels, and their behavior was very nasty. Thank goodness the YouTube spammers have eased down greatly now.
As for Mr. Downs, his death was so sudden and didn't know it was coming, though I did learn he had a problem in his foot, based on his posts over the last few years. He did make one final post on Facebook the morning of December 7, saying he was heading on a train. And just hours later, he passed.
Sad loss in the world of game show fandom.

Well, the catnap1972 is Chris Nadle, he's still very much active in the Game Show Forum. Who knows, he may be back to uploading episodes of game shows, but it does take patience though.
