A call for assistance!
I am compiling lists of celebrities' appearances on game shows, and I'm having trouble finding listings for some syndicated shows from the '80s. If anyone's local libraries has TV Guide on microfilm from 1980-1989 -- or if you have your own collection -- can you let me know if your city's issues list the celebs for the following shows? I should be able to get my alma mater's inter-library system to order the microfilm for me.
Thanks in advance!
3rd Degree The Last Word The New Liar's Club Relatively Speaking Sweethearts Take My Word For It Triple Threat Win, Lose or Draw (I'm only missing a few listings; if someone wants to look for themselves, I can give you exact dates)
Yahtzee
And...if anyone wanted to check if their city's issues listed the celebs for the 1979-1980 syndie season of "Hollywood Squares," I wouldn't turn you down. ;-)
I think TV Guide showed the celebs for Win Lose or Draw, going from 30 year old memory, but not for the other shows, and Yahtzee didn't play in Philly or NYC. By that time, they stopped for the most showing the celebrity guests on syndicated shows IIRC. Take my Word for It I didn't see in its original 1982-83 run, but CTN, a local New Jersey cable stations, showed it around Spring 1987 in reruns.

So, the first week of the second season of Win, Lose or Draw was with Sally Struthers, Anne-Marie Johnson, Marc Price and Clifton Davis. The next week was with Loni Anderson, Deidre Hall, Burt Reynolds and Steve Kanaly, with the week with Loni Anderson, Jackee, Alan Alda and Burt Reynolds marked as the 3rd week of the second season of Win, Lose or Draw. One of these 3 WDW weeks had the host getting soaked from falling down the boat before the episode began, it was an amazing opening to a WDW episode. IIRC, the week with Jackee and Lynn Redgrave was the second week of episodes with Betty White and Annie Potts being the first-taped week. We'll never know the week #s of WLoD have appeared on GSN as the weekly PDFs never existed when the show was rerun and the show was yanked off the schedule long before the weekly PDFs began being published. But I'm sure GSN reran all of the WDW weeks for sure.
