Not many game show contestants went on to become game show staff members but here are examples: Ben Tritle, who was a contestant on Twenty-One and Jeopardy! from the first show back from Radio City Music Hall, and on the first 5 episodes of runners-up receiving cash($1000 for 3rd, $2000 for 2nd), became a famed-question writer for the first 2 seasons of Catch 21.
Dave Statman, originally a 4-game winner on Season 9 Joker's Wild went on to join the TJW staff later in the same season.
Tim Butler, originally a contestant on the daytime Wheel of Fortune, and was qualified for the $100,000 Tournament #3(which was supposed to air on April 7-11, 1986), later became a production staff member for both Pyramid counterparts beginning sometime in August 1986, around the time Tournament #4 is set.
Rocky Schmidt, originally a Jeopardy! player on December 11, 1985, became a co-producer for every J! spinoff there was(I don't think he was a co-producer for Jep!, but correct me).
Any other examples?

Also Julie Douglass, who won $25,000 with Brian Mitchell in 1983 and went on to become one of the contestant coordinators.
Let's add Molly Fischer, who won $10,000 with Michael J. Fox in 1984 and later went on to join the staff.
Don't forget Tony Pandolfo, who won $1,400 with Jo Anne Worley on Bill Cullen's version in 1974 and went on to become a contestant coordinator for "Pyramid" and a number of other shows.

I know this was in the Classics section, but there's a little bit of everything in here. So I moved this to the General board.

That name sounds familiar. Last Year, on International Women's day, when BUZZR aired 4 episodes of the 1994 era Dawson Celebrity Family Feud, with Carol Burnett's actual family facing off against Betty White's "family" of poker buddies, I thought that Pandolfo was on White's team. His physical appearance reminded me of Jason Alexander.

Don't forget about Laura Chambers, she was a contestant on the Season 4 Tic Tac Dough episodes(which there are only about 4 episodes circulated from that season), and was on Sale of the Century from April 20-22, 1983(which was originally uploaded by Chris Nadle aka catnap1972), later became a consultant on the first season of Richard Karn's tenure of Family Feud. She must've done another game show as a staff member.

Laura started working on game shows going back to at least Scrabble in the 80s. She was a contestant on one of the Scrabble pilots.

Byron Wilson was a big winner on The Joker's Wild during the first syndicated season and joined their staff the following year. For those who didn't spot Byron's name in the credits, Jack Barry explained as that year's Tournament Of Champions was starting that Byron was not in the tournament because he was now a Barry & Enright employee.
