The 12/28/81 Sajak daytime debut is up on Pluto, but appears in the folder for season 10(1992-93) The production number on Pat’s first show may be why it was placed in the season 10 section: daytime episode 1768. The nighttime show had its 2000th episode during season 11 on Nov 12, 1993

I think (again, I think) Sony's WOF archive is in Culver City. And NBC's is either in Burbank or Universal City.

B. That came from a King World representative in August 2006. That person might be wrong, but I think it counts for more than being on Wikipedia. Also, most of what we have found heretofore have been because people recorded their own appearances on the show. The claim that the archive starts in 1985 (which suggests a fairly sizable chunk of 1985 is gone too) may very well be true. The problems are: A. The claim allegedly was made in the 90s, back in a time where literally every 70s-80s NBC game show not named The Gong Show or produced by Gooodson-Todman was immediately dismissed as being wiped. As we now know with the Heatter-Quigley stuff, that is not the case. B. The claim is again not properly sourced and fairly unsubstantiated. Just because you read it on Wikipedia doesn't mean its true. C. Noone's really bothered to go down to Burbank and look. Furthermore there are several bits of Woolery episodes in master quality that have popped up in other shows that we dont't have in full (the 1975 series premiere for instance). Where did these bits come from? How did they get there? Why doesn't Sony seem to have a copy? Etc. Etc. At the very least we can assume that the bulk of Chuck's episodes are completely gone, as are Pat's prior to fall 1983 (although it honestly wouldn't surprise me if it turned out that the archive started with Vanna's first show in November 1982 and its music clearances that blocked GSN from running them).

Here's Dr. Drew's appearance in broadcast quality. www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2SfYAOS31AI think it's from early 1984.

Vanna's first episode is now up on Pluto, under the Season 11 folder. Other notable additions over the last day include several episodes from Seasons 7, 8 and Season 9, and some Season 15 episodes. There are now episodes from all of the first 16 seasons, except for seasons 6, 13, and 14.

Because 84 is obviously well represented by the former.

Ok if you go by the WOF wiki's timeline, these are the episodes that are confirmed to exist on master tape prior to fall 1983...
10/08/73 -- Shopper's Bazaar Pilot
08/28/74 -- Edd Byrnes Pilots 1 and 2
01/06/75 -- Series Premiere (clips appeared on the THS episode)
11/03/75 -- Hour long show (clips appeared on an episode of the Roseanne Show in January, 2000)
01/19/76 -- Dream Machine Tournament Day #2. This is the earliest episode of Wheel we have in the public domain in its entirety.
05/20/76 -- Held by Paley
06/07/76 -- The infamous Kill the Vampire episode. Only Woolery to air on GSN.
01/18/78 -- Held by Paley
12/13/82 -- Vanna's first show
Obviously there are some big gaps there

By what they show, we can't tell, or at least I can't tell. The WOF Wiki Timeline lists his appearance in the daytime section, but that sounds like a wild guess to me. Was that syndicated or daytime? Because 84 is obviously well represented by the former.

There's only one shot that shows the wheel in the Dr. Drew video, and it's a round 3 daytime configuration. Two bankrupts and a top value of $2000.

Which means, if you believe the anonymous KingWorld Representative claim, it should be wiped or at least exist in off-air quality like Pat's first episode. Neither appears to be the case.

You were able to spot a $2,000 space there? Not disputing, but I can't see it from the quickness of the shots. There's only one shot that shows the wheel in the Dr. Drew video, and it's a round 3 daytime configuration. Two bankrupts and a top value of $2000.
