Why is Match Game revived in Canada but not here?

There's probably no one reason, but a cocktail of them: Cost of production, with Fremantle possibly getting a better offer from the Canadian producers than the US ones; the market up there being perhaps more open to a revival than ours, particularly after no fewer than three post-Match Game '98 Stateside pilots died on the vine; the simple fact Canadian television is always desperate for "homegrown" content so TV outlets can meet the CTRC's minimum requirements for "CanCon." Choose any or all of the above.

Here's an even odder question involving game shows? If any Canadians were playing Wheel of Fortune, did they confuse the show with the popular Canadian game show "Definition" and find themselves saying "I don't want Zed" Here, this should explain what I meant. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Definition_(TV_series)
