Golden-ROad.net says nothing prior to 1982 will be shown. The second half of the 1983-84 season and most of 1984-86, plus most of 1987-91 were not seen on GSN. GOlden-Road.net thinks TPIR episodes will get kicked off Youtube as a result of this, and reports are some 1982-83 episodes have been kicked off recently.

I wouldn't say kicked off. And besides, do you remember when Buzzr first started, Fremantle informed us to purge? As it turned out, and as it'll always be the case, it isn't meant to be. Any or all available uploads will stay put. So even if you see some of the uploads blocked, just keep uploading what they like to upload.

This is freaking awesome. I truly was wondering if the classic Barker eps of Price (especially those with Holly) would ever see the light of day again. Now, if only Sony could cut a deal for a classic Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, or Pyramid channel on Pluto, I'd be in hog heaven...

Agree with pyramidpower, if Pluto can cut a deal for episodes of the first 2 years of Steve Harvey's tenure of Family Feud, the viewers will be happy to see them again especially after what happened to those episodes that got blocked from YT at this time last year and GSN losing access and eventually branching out any pre-2015 episodes of Feud.

I persinally think the so-called kicking off 1982 and 1983 episodes from YouTube is probably more an act of users deleting them on their own terms.
Very interesting that the so-called ban on episodes with Holly is finally being lifted, the way things are going - unless they decide to blur her face like with the "Game Show Moments Gone Bananas" specials on GSN back in 2006.
I bet the pre-1982 episodes will not be shown because of a vast abundance of episodes with fur coats and prizes involving animal products - implying thst Fremantle is likely going to respect Bob's wishes regardong animal rights after he passes on.

Tomorrow is also the 26th anniversary of GSN's debut. The 1982-83 is the season that IIRC GSN aired more episodes of than any other, airing almost the entire season.

Also December 9 is the 24th anniversary of the ABC episodes of Family Feud on GSN starting with the July 12, 1976 premiere. I remember it was half-hour TPIR (1972-1975) at about 6:00 a.m. PST, and ABC Feud after that.

Very cool. This is one of the game shows I really remember watching when I stayed home sick from school in the '80s. I remember so many things like "c'mon down," the little mountain climbing game, the spinning money wheel with its unique beeps, and lots of Rice-A-Roni.
Pluto needs to start a Dawson Feud channel like this. I'd have to put my whole life on hold for that one.
If this was a Goodson/Todman series, why was it never on Buzzr, at least nothing newer than 1963?

Also, was Holly's likeness blocked from the Pluto broadcasts?
I checked a YouTube playlist devoted to 1982-83 TPIR, and it turns out that only the Season 11 episodes are blocked. I am hoping that the blocking of episodes is designed to avoid spoilers of the outcome. If I recall, when Buzzr first launched, many classic episodes that were first aired, including the 1983 episodes of "Press Your Luck", they were blocked. PYL episodes from late 1985 and 1986, which GSN was airing at the time, were not affected. The "What's My Line?" channel had many - but not all - episodes blocked upon Buzzr's launch. The blocking was removed after the episodes have aired, implying that spoilers was the reason for the blocking.
For what it's worth, there are at least several Season 11 episodes of TPIR that were unaffected, including Bill Cullen's appearance to plug "Child's Play" - implying that those particular episodes are likely not going to be reran on Pluto.
It would be nice if Pluto airs the final playing of It's Optional. That was aired later in Season 11.

7AM airing on Pluto was 9/14/1982 already archived at tpirepguide.com and aired on GSN in the late 90s

Other game shows that were airing at the time when Season 11 of TPIR started were Family Feud, The $25,000 Pyramid and Wheel of Fortune. The latter two are very hard to find on YouTube. The former one is easy to find on YouTube, and there are many 1982 episodes, including the “Peanut Butter” episode.
