The new PlutoTV channel for TPIR got me back into watching old episodes of the show. I was consulting the site golden-road.net for info last week, but now it is showing a Domain Expired placeholder page. Anyone here known anything?

Honestly, I wouldn't be sad if that site were to ever go away. It's poorly run, most of the people there are rude, and the staff there is trigger happy when it comes to issuing bans. I once created a topic I thought was constructive (I forget what it was about), but everyone got on me about it and I got banned for that topic.
If that site truly is gone (which I highly doubt it is because of what vahan said), then I say good riddance.

Like I said before, it's poorly run. Steve Gavazzi is the worst. If you get on his bad side just once, you're done. I know, I was one of his victims. I know that sounds dark and suspicious, but I can't think of a better word. He banned me for a topic about the show that he didn't agree with and it wasn't even a bad topic. I said nothing banworthy, but he banned me anyway. So yeah, Golden Road and especially Steve Gavazzi can go piss off. |

I agree that G-R is nothing but a cesspool. The people are terrible and very rarely will you come across users who are in good standing. If the site reaches its demise, then hasta la vista to another horrible site - it will not be missed. Though I have a feeling it's probably a case of the site's owner needing to pay to renew the forums. If it doesn't get renewed by the end of January, I think it will then be safe to declare that G-R is quietly gone and isn't coming back.
Worst case scenario, if G-R doesn't get renewed, there's always qwizx for episode recaps.

It boggles my mind why people there are allowed to act rude and obnoxious non-stop, and no consequences whatsoever.
It doesn't matter if you say nothing banworthy there, question their behavior once, and you're done.

I've gotten into it a couple times over the past few days. But then it's gone down again.
I hadn't been on the site before the Pluto TPIR channel started. While I was in there, it was very active and the fans there were very knowledgeable. It seemed like a useful site to me. I can imagine they might not be very noob-friendly there because they are such experts about the show. But it's worth being careful treading around in there to be able to learn that much useful information.
