Thoroughly enjoying the BUZZR eps. of Whew via YouTube as several channels have been good about posting them. Still don't get the folks who complain (both now and back then) that the format is too hard to follow. I think it's fantastic.
One thing that always stuck out to me when I saw scattered eps. on YouTube several years ago, and still strikes me today, is how much easier it is blocking as opposed to charging. It's only once in a blue moon that someone wins charging, and that became even more apparent once celebrities were added. Wonder if that was by design, but it would seem to give quite a big advantage for the champion in having option of charging or blocking on the third board.

The first Gauntlet on the 8/29/1979 episode had an error, but it didn't effect the outcome of the game. The telly belly said in February 1971 women were given the right to vote, but it was really 18 year olds that were at the time(in the US, women got the vote in 1920 in the US)

Watching the recent Lost and Found marathon, it wasn't hard to see why #127 was chosen for it.

The George vs. Gwendolyn that that aired last MOnday instead of Randy Amasia's second episode was skipped over today. Today's episode mentioned Gwendolyn's bonus win and introduced the villians by name before the bonus round.

For some reason, I didn't realize until now that when your opponent stumbles upon a block that the blocker set up, that money automatically goes to the blocker.

They skipped episode 117 and are now showing episode 118. The champion Stephen is a detective. ATGS mentioned that a large African-American male got injured during his original run on Whew!, and when he was well enough to returh to play the gauntlet, he came back to win it. This could well be that same contestant.

Today's episode was probably the only episode without a bonus round being played.

Do you have to put a block up on the 6th level Not necessarily, but I think you'd be a fool not to.
