Did episode 122 air today? I saw only the last segment with a bonus round with a different champion than at the end of episode 121?

Nope, episode 123 aired today as scheduled, so 122 is another episode Buzzr skipped at first. In case #122 doesn't rerun the next time, I'm thinking that Olivia went through 8 villians in her first attempt for a total of $1300, then she won $790 more in the 2 round sweep and went through 7 villians that time which totaled to $2790.

$1,220 amassed on today's episode. That must be a record. Even Randy Amasia didn't get that much; his highest total was $1,190. Theoretically, the highest one could earn was $1,500.

More than that, the highest total one could earn was $2250 so 82 seconds would be the highest time limit possible. Remember to count the tiebreaker round.

But there are as many as three games played in each match. If Player 1 successfully charges through five $50s and $500, he or she would win $750. If Player 2 uncovers blocks in five $50s and $500, the opponent gets another $750, and Player 1 would win the match. I'm not sure what I'm forgetting to add.

Today and tomorrow are the 11/26 and 11/27/1979 shows with Mary Ann Mobley and Linwood Boomer. Next week's shows were from 11/28-11/30 and 12/3-12/4/1979 and are civilians only, presumably including the return of the detective with the nickname Blackie who returns to play the Gauntlet after being injured during his original run.

So now we know how they handled the transition to the permanent celebrity format. And that was Lee Newcom, who was later on Press Your Luck in the Summer of 1985, wasn't it?

The last maingame round on today's episode had two bloopers about Grand COulee Dam with Coulee the correct answer(they didn't have time to read the missed bloopers in the last maingame round on today's episode)

Jules Minton is on yesterday's Whew! episode and he later won $48K on Bullseye and became the Answer and Question supervisor for the early years of Trebek J!. He was on tomorrow's episode as he is tied in the current match one game apiece. And on today's show he lost the tiebreaker round.

There's a good chance the final civilian week was actually taped in between the tapings of the November 2 and 5, 1979 episodes.

Marvin looks familiar. Is that the same guy from PYL in 1983?

Episode 176 was skipped, and 177 is airing now. 175 ended in a 1-1 tie and 177 started off with a bonus round, which meant the full game on 176 was won 2-0.
