' (Shot of outer space and the USS Grundy) Greg: (VO) Captain's Log, Stardate: 101251.48. Our space voyages are too many to list. Unfortunately, we're in the middle of a writers' and an actors' strike, so we can't re-enact them for you. Things were far more concerning at home on planet Earth. There were strikes across the country, so I was called back to California. My first officer Steve was upset he'd have to fly back home for cranberry harvest season, and I knew it'd be more expensive living in the Golden State. After all, all the gold in California is in a bank in the middle of Beverly Hills, in somebody else's name. At first, we were expecting to tape here.
Fox Television Center. Unfortunately, none of the shows that air on Fox are taped there. So, we decided on a location where I was taping a replacement series, Wipeout. Wipeout was taped at Stage 30, so we decided on Stage 29 at Paramount Studios.
Burton: (VO) It was a familiar place for me, because I spent five years there recording The Arsenio Hall Show.
Greg: (VO) That's one of the reasons why I picked it.
(We fly up to Paramount Studios. Stage 8 somehow opens up, and the SS Grundy is lowered and docked there. Greg, Steve, Burton, and Stacey all walk through the lot to Stage 29.) (cut to opening sequence) |
