I'm trying to remember the name of a (probably short-lived) game show that I remember seeing only once, most likely in the early 80's. The only feature I remember is that the contestant won a round or got some question right, and was then shown a one-handed clock, with the hand slowly and constantly turning clockwise. The clock face was sort of like Wheel of Fortune - I think the zones between 10 and 2 o'clock (or thereabouts) had one or more money amounts, while the rest of the positions formed a single zone marked ZERO. While the clock was turning, there was some hypnotic music playing (sounded like someone playing a synth and playing the scales, up and down repeatedly) that was definitely not in sync with the clock.
The host instructed the contestant to observe the clock, and then once he felt he had the rhythm down, he had to turn around with his back to the clock, and push a button to stop it. (I assume there was some mechanism in place, to prevent the contestant from turning around at 10 or 11 o'clock and then immediately pushing the button) Basically, the contestant tried to stop the clock in one of the money zones. In the episode I saw, he got more than one try. Of course, the music totally screwed with him, and every single time he stopped the clock squarely in the ZERO zone, and a loud buzzer would sound to add insult to injury. Maybe I'm a little mean, but I thought it was hilarious watching the contestant making a complete fool of himself.
Any idea what this show might be? I thought the host was Jim Lange, but I checked all his shows and none of them were it, so I don't think it was him.

Hmm, interesting. The "clock" round is identical, so I'm 100% sure this is the show. But the background seems much lighter and brighter from what I remember (it was rather dark and gloomy) and I could have sworn the host was someone more low-key than JD. Maybe I saw the pilot or something like that. Anyway, thanks for solving the mystery!
Edit: Nope, I misremembered. I found the exact episode, it's 4/1/1985 and available on YT.
