Both Lee and Kyle are no strangers to appearing on game shows. Lee was a regular panelist on the 1970s Match Game and Kyle was a frequent substitute model on The Price is Right between 1984 and 1996.

It turns out that people can start developing the early stages of Alzheimer's as early as their 50s, maybe even 40s. I know of one person in real life who died of such disease in 2014 at age 59.

I agree, for Kyle, it's all downhill from here. The models who were on the show during the 1980s and 1990s are getting up there in age. There were even models who were on the show in the 2000s that are now over 50 (they are no longer on the show due to other reasons) - in fact, one is turning 60 next year.  Amazing that Janice is still alive and kicking today, and she's in her 80s now (she even made a rare TV appearance following Bob Barker's death last summer).

Surprising this topic wasn't brought up on G-R yet.  Why is this?

Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt were in Seasons 1-2 and 3 respectively; Lee Meriwether was in the movie between Seasons 1 & 2.

Terrible news regarding the diagnosis. Kyle appeared on close to 100 episodes as either a substitute, most frequently in 1988 or in the cases of 1984 and 1996, auditioning to be a regular beauty. In the second case, Chantel was selected soon after Kyle’s last appearance on the show
