I noticed we didn't have an AP Beat the Bridge thread so I made this one the AP thread.
I had a chance to sample an episode a few weeks ago and my initial reactions were basically, I wasn't sure what to really expect at first. I thought this was going to be almost like a typical Q&A type of show at first, then I saw the bridge and what the show actually was and then I got it.
I think back when I got done watching it, and even 15 minutes in I thought it was kind of slow and repetitive. Maybe I'll get a chance to watch some more episodes if it gets more time slots.
The host Cameron Mathison didn't impress me much. He's not horrible, but I don't like him the same way I might like John Michael Higgins or Jeff Hephner for instance. I suppose he's a good fit for this show though.
First impressions, I give it a C. It's not a bad concept, and it's a show they brought from the UK, with their version being called Bridge of Lies. I just found it kind of slow at first watch.

The title makes me think of the infamous PItfall that Alex Trebek and the contestants got stiffed out of winnings and salary of circa 1981-82
