A buck ninety-five for James.
(ding)
Alright, so Jace, what this means for you is your bid needs to be separated in twenty-five cent intervals away from James' bid. So, if you want to bid lower than him, you could bid $1.70 or $1.45 or $1.20 etc. If you want to bid higher, you could bid $2.20 or $2.45 or $2.70 etc. Anything so long as it is a multiple of $0.25 higher or lower than his bid.
So with that in mind, what's your bid Jace?

Jace, you have to bid in increments of $0.25 above or below James' bid. $2.55 is not a valid bid, you could bid $2.45 if you want or the next one up would be $2.70.

Let's just play it out and you'll see why at the end why I'm doing it this way.
I'm also a bit tired of you telling me how to run my own shows. You did the same thing in Card Sharks. Enough already. This is the same kind of bullshit that led to you getting banned while being an admin on NGC. How about you keep your opinions to yourself on here and just let people host their shows as they see fit, okay? Thanks.

You are correct, sir. I have done the diplomatic thing and deleted the offensive post. Let's let the game play out. Carry on, my apologies.

Listen, Greg did not mean any harm. He was just making a suggestion. He really meant well. Don't be too hard on him.

Greg and I have some negative history and hopefully, we've just resolved it in PM. I don't mind constructive criticism, but there's a time and a place for it, and interrupting someone in the middle of their show is not the time nor the place.
FYI, the reason for the .25 buffer is to prevent people from essentially cheating their way into a perfect bid. If everyone overbids, without a buffer, the three of you could then just keep bidding a nickel lower until somebody is exactly right. The buffer prevents that.
Okay, let's end the drama please and get back to the show, sound good?

Ok, so Jace, James has bid $1.95 and we use this bid to determine the subsequent bids by using $0.25 buffers either higher or lower than $1.95. So, here are examples of valid bids going higher or lower:
$1.95 + 1 quarter ($0.25) = $2.20, so that would be a valid bid. $1.95 + 2 quarters ($0.50) = $2.45, so that would be a valid bid. $1.95 + 3 quarters ($0.75) = $2.70, so that would be a valid bid. And so on going up.
For lower bids: $1.95 - 1 quarter ($0.25) = $1.70, so that would be a valid bid. $1.95 - 2 quarters ($0.50) = $1.45, so that would be a valid bid. $1.95 - 3 quarters ($0.75) = $1.20, so that would be a valid bid. And so on going down.
Do you understand Jace?

Jace, I'm going to give you another 48 hours to respond, at which time I'm going with $2.45 as your bid, since that one is the closest valid bid to the one you gave me, $2.55, which is not valid.

Two forty-five for Jace.
Alright Greg, hopefully we all have the hang of this now.
There is one valid bid in between those two bids, which is $2.20, otherwise you can bid anything lower than $1.95 or higher than $2.45, again in $0.25 increments either below James' bid or above Jace's bid.
What would you like to bid Greg?

You have all overbid, so let's erase these bids please.
You all must go lower than $1.95 now, however the original buffer still applies, which means there are seven valid bids that you can choose from: $0.20, $0.45, $0.70, $0.95, $1.20, $1.45 and $1.70.
James, what's your bid this time?
